Sorry, September weather seems to be a hot issue (pun intended) around here.

Is it safe to assume it will be so hot that only shorts and ts will suffice for my two older boys? DH and I will have pants/capris with us because we're going on an anniversary date while we're there.

We have rain ponchos.

What do you pack in September? Thanks!

Last year it was definately hot & humid! I couldn't stand to stay in the parks past 2pm and I do disney commando style! There was no need for jackets at night however I recall restaurants being very cold especially in the evenings. I think shorts will do just fine and swim trunks too for those afternoon dips in the pool!

Hi Jennifer,

The average high in early September is in the low 90s, with the average low in the low 70s. By the end of September, the average high is in the upper 80s with the average low in the upper 60s.

Only if you get some kind of tropical disturbance will the temperature vary widely. Even then it will likely be near 80 and extremely humid.

It is still very warm in September and shorts at t-shirts are the way to go. I will say that on a very rare occation in late Spetember you may have a little chill at night, but this is very, very rare. Take a look at the weather channel before you go, maybe bring a light jacket just in case it looks like one of those rare days is possible, but plan for the HEAT!!

I live in Mississippi, my oldest was born at the end of Oct. I wore shorts and a t-shirt to the hospital. It usually doesn't start to turn cold until after Halloween, and even then the weather can be wierd. It usually doesn't turn consistently cold until after Thanksgiving. And, as a general rule we don't have a real fall or spring. One day it's hot the next day cold or in the spring it goes from cold to hot in a week.

I thought I was going to die of heat stroke last year the first week of Oct. Take shorts! You'll be glad you did! :thumbsup2
