Back to basics for a while is my goal. So, regular bills, regular grocery and gas are okay. No clothes, no more new curric, no splurges. Dining out for the month limited to our upcoming overnight date and two other times. Limit drives to the city to two.

- $0
- paid all of our regular monthly bills, but nothing else $0
- $0
- (-$132.88) Our annual math subscription renews every Sept. (It's a planned expense we have budgeted for every Sept, so I didn't count it as new curric.) I found it on a Homeschool Buyers Coop group buy for less than the normal family discount cost. I saved >$43 per child x 3 kids. Happy dance!
- $0
- $5 The flower bouquets at the farmers market got me
- $12 for a cheese slicer husband had to have. It was our planned overnight date, so the dining out was allowed.
- $0
- $0
- $147 Sale on contact lenses, so I stocked up for another year using my math curric savings and a little extra.
- $19 semi-annual vanilla bean order
- regular groceries
- $0
- $0
- $0
- Allowed Dining Out #1 ($25 take out pizza with enough left over for the kids lunch tomorrow)

**My two year old niece, who has epilepsy had a bad seizure on Saturday afternoon and she stopped breathing. They could not resuscitate her and she slipped away from us. My family lives 360 kms/220 miles away from us so we had a few extra expenses this weekend (gasoline mostly), because we went down there. We will go again for the funeral later this week. Hoping this does not throw us off budget but it is what it is. I changed my goal to 20 days and we will take any overages in budget from the savings account.

I was supposed to find out if I was approved for my mortgage today and didn't get the call yet, so I guess I'll wait to celebrate once I actually get the keys. I know I'll have a harder time doing no buy once I have a place to decorate.

Thanks for helping me stay on track!:yay:
