I know it hasn't happened yet, but does anyone know any details of the two Animal Kingdom nights in September? Will River of Lights be shown for us? Will we be able to do Pandora, without fast passes? Thank you!

Rivers of Light, yes.

The following was in the email confirmation regarding Pandora:
PLEASE NOTE: While Pandora, World of Avatar will be available during this event, access to the land is NOT guaranteed. A standby queue to enter the land will be instituted when it has reached capacity, and attraction availability cannot be assured.

Thank you! I got a fast pass for one, right around the party, but not the other. And, someone pointed out they will show River of Lights that night :)

Last year there were no FP for the AK event, but there weren't nearly enough people to where it would have even been worth the hassle. Heck, we went around a couple of times on Everest without even getting off.

We'll see how it goes this year.

I just remember small bags of lays/doritos, cookies, water & lemonade in big thermos dispensers with little cups, and the chests of mickey ice cream treats (the most popular items). There may have been other things but I can't remember. I only drank about 37 cups of water since it was 150 degrees and humid at 11pm. heh.

No real appetizer type food? Thanks!

The only other snack I can recall that ScubaCat didn't mention was small bags of trail mix or mixed nuts.

Really glad to hear that they are going to have River of Lights (new experience for me). It is not listed on the regular Disney World Calendar - so it may be a showing just for the DVC Event.
I went last year and it was a lot of fun.
Free Ice Cream, lemonade and snacks (chips). Most of the restaurants and bars were closed.
They did not have FPs but they gave you a ticket with a time to ride Kilimanjaro Safari.
I would imagine Pandora will be a madhouse.
If you get away from the crowds the park is practically empty. Kali River Rapids and Expedition Everest were walk-ons. They let you ride Kali River Rapids back-to-back as many times as you want.

I'm bummed I missed the sign up for this but can't wait to hear how it was. We'll settle for being there another day although I'm checking daily for openings!

Last year, we were able to go to Tiffins and order a few beers "to go" and were able to enjoy a beer while walking around a dark and empy Animal Kingdom! So so much fun!! Not sure if they will be open again this year but they certainly were last for the entire night! Also, theres no better experience than riding Kali River Rapids 3x in a row without getting off after a few Tusker Ales!!!! lol!!

Flame Tree was open last year. I actually might still have the park map guide from that event around here somewhere that had everything open listed on it. I'll see if I can find it.

We had gotten a FP for the Safari ride, for a particular time.

Yes, you're right - that was the exception. Everyone got a slip of paper with a 30 minute window to ride the Safari. (sort of a special oldschool FP). It wasn't an advance FP+ reservation though, and it was one ride per guest. I'm wondering if they'll do something similar for FoP. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Can't wait to hear how the first event goes. We are going on the 13th and my daughter's birthday is Sept. 14 so she is very excited to be starting her 15th bday off at a DVC event. We have been very fortunate to get into the MK and TL events.

We'll be there the 13th as well.

We're very excited to see what it is like. This will be our first, and only, this year.

I'm really hoping that they have something gluten free to eat.
