September - Magic Bands?

32 Days out. Checking in at POR on Sept. 20th.
I just logged into MDE and noticed I have the option for MBs and FP+.

We are staying at Port Orleans French Q on 9/25-10/8...haven't been able to even select Fast Pass + options or magic band.

Should we be able to book the fastpass+ even if we aren't in the magic band test?

No only POR is in test not POFQ

My husband and I are going 9/15. I just called Disney 5 minutes ago and switched our reservation from CBR to POR. I can now personalize my magicbands and make FP+ Selections!

I was able to customize and save the bands. It has an address and edit address button. Do you have to do anything else? I found it odd that there was no submit button. Does this seem right? Will we just get an email that they shipped or am I missing something. Thanks.

Have you checked in online? In the other tread about sept bands people are saying if you modify your online check in. And resave it the bands come right up. Worth a shot. Just change your arrival time. Can always be changed back.

So I customized out Magic Bands Friday Evening, pretty late, for our upcoming Trip 9/14- 9/21. This morning when i checked my Email i got one saying that Our magic Bands have Shipped...... Not even 1 hour after i read the email I get a knock at the Door. It's UPS and what do they have.. OUR MAGIC BANDS !!!!!!! Just another touch of Disney Magic....

I customized ours last week, I think on Thursday, and they still say that they're being customized and will ship soon. I have about 20 days before my trip.

Animal Kingdom Lodge, Contemporary, Pop Century, Port Orleans Riverside, Art of Animation, Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Polynesian resorts are all testing MagicBand, MyMagic+, and Fastpass+ through mid-October.

Amen! I am so annoyed that they haven't been part of any testing! I am going September 25 and staying until October 5, oh how I wish I could test the bands!

We got a letter in the mail and via email inviting us to try the magic bands. We got it last Thursday and we are arriving at Pop on 9/2 and leaving 9/7. I am excited about trying out the new system.

When you say Contemporary, does that include Bay Lake Tower?

On my disney experience it let me customize my bands and choose fast pass+ but I've still not recieved any emails I customized on Saturday. When I called disney they said they didn't know if my resort was getting them, and it could be a fluke, and to wait due the email. Now I'm nervous I really want them!

I wouldn't worry! From what I've read from others that is pretty typical. Most got to make FP+ and customize MB way before the emails or letters in the mail came to them. Most had their MB at their house before being notified of being a tester. The IT people have said if you're at one of the "testing resorts" then you are included in the test. So no worries! Congrats!!!
