September hours- is it just me?

I'm with the folks that are looking forward to early fireworks due to the early hours. My boys are 4 and 10 months. If they extend the hours will they make the night shows later? Last time we went was Christmas and waiting until 10 and 11 with little ones is super challenging.

Granted you should always double check show times as your trip draws near just in case, but fireworks shows generally don't flex/move with park hour changes. Looking at HEA for example... it's at 8:30 until 9/115 and then it moves to 8pm. Baring something unusual, those won't change.

Actually on Sept 15th MK was 11pm but as of about 15 minutes ago it was showing 10pm!
And I don't get that they changed HS to 9p on the 15th and 16th and AK to 9p on the 16th only. But no other dates in Sept?! All the other days we are there HS and AK is either 8pm or 8:30pm??
So....after Labor day.....only one day out of the entire month AK is 9pm??? They are getting nutty!!!!

I just copied what the email said. Not surprised though. Either way we have our plans set with evening plans or early ADR’s so the park staying open later or not won’t impact our trip. Our only late nights are MNSSHP, hoop dee doo and DS.

Going to be there 9/5-10. No parks 9/5- arriving late. Ironically the only day with evening EMH in any park. But even without that 8:30 closings for HS and AK.. 9pm MK (on a non MNSSHP day) seems very esrly.
I have teenagers, I’m kind of annoyed. Seems earlier than previous years.

We've been at WDW these dates every year going back many years (did DLR this year instead). These shorter hours are not unusual for this time. Like others have mentioned, if they get extended, it means disney is anticipating higher crowds. Shorter hours aren't always a bad thing. We love the late hours too but we prefer the low crowds.

I want it the other way! Open later; Stay open later. Better mix of daylight and night time hours.

I’m not sure what you mean, HS has Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks on the schedule every night in Sept.

I just saw that - 5 seconds ago on the official calendar. The DIS calendar did not show it. Or I read it wrong or the wrong year. My DD assumed we were going to MK first. She was shocked when I said HS. Her next question was, which fireworks will we see first: Illuminations or MK? Bwhahaha- NEITHER! DD and DSIL have no concept of the SWAG show existing.
