For those of you going in September...

Are you planning on taking advantage of the EMH at the parks or do you plan to go to a non EMH park planning on lower crowds?

We will have 6 kids ranging in age from 18 mos to 14 years so I don't think we really want to be up until midnight everynight.

We plan on the moringing emh for sure. As for the evening, that is going to be more of a play it by ear. A couple of us that haven't had our fill yet, may go to a few, but they aren't planned. For instance, after our night at the hddr, we may wander over to evening emh at mk or epcot or mgm, depending on how we feel.

I am on the 'avoid the emh park' side of things. We'll see how it works. We were there in Feb and it worked fine. Not sure how the crowd level will compare to then. I am hoping for about the same - which was low. We are going Sept 18-23 and in Feb it was Feb 8-13.

I'm still working on that decision. I was trying to avoid them when I made my plans. But right now, the way my plans worked out, we're scheduled to be at evening EMH parks a few times. They switched the MK mornings/evenings from what I can tell and that put us in the MK on EMH evening (Wednesday) for our Liberty Tree Character meal.

I really don't see the extra evening hours working well for us past the first hour or so either. Even with evening EMH ending at 11 for MK and MGM, that just doesn't work if you want to get up at 7:00 to get the parks before 9:00 am (which I would rather do).

We will probably give it a try once or twice and then re-arrange our schedule to the way we like it. I don't make many PS's so that's not a big problem for us to do.

We're going the week of Labor Day, and even with the free dining I'm hoping the crowds will be pretty low. My kids are older so we plan to use the evening EMH but skip the morning ones.

This is our story:
Since the advent of EMH, we've always stayed off-site, so we avoided the EMH parks. For this upcoming trip, we are staying a few nights in POP. At first we were like, "Hey, we're in 'the club' now! Cool!" We were excited to be able to take advantage of EMH.

Then............I started reading about how the EMH parks are always more crowed. Also, we have an 8 and 5 yr old who I'm sure will be tapped out by the time the park's regular closing time arrives. We also have 2 teens, who would have no problem w/ the evening EMH, but who are slow getting going in the am. So forget morning EMH. Since we don't want to put out the $$ for the park hopper option, we've decided to go ONLY to non-EMH parks in Sept.

We took advantage of the early EMH and evening EMH on our May 2004 and May 2005 trips. It worked great for us every time so we are planning to use these during our September trip. The parks clear out after fireworks and the temps are cooler and we walked right on to many rides. If for some reason the parks are crowded we can just opt to call it a day and head back to our resort.

I'm kinda like Lora. I would rather do early EMHs but if it's not crowded I would like to do the late for an hour or so. I'd like to ride til we drop because DH said we aren't going next year :guilty: But if it's busy there's no point in sticking around. I'm hoping after Labor Day that it really slows down.

Well, we were going to try to avoid them, but we are hitting a few morning EMH and one evening EMH. The rest of the time, we're hoping to have the "other" parks to ourselves (in a figuritive sense.... :earboy2: )

This is our plan, too. The evening EMH in MK fall on our DS's 4th birthday (how cool is that?), so I think we'll for sure take advantage of that and see how it goes. If it is super-crowded, we can always change our minds. About the other nights, who knows? We'll just play that by ear.

Ok, we will be at MK sept 23, which is Early Magic Hour. We are staying at the Poly and have 8:10 ressies at CRT breakfast. What time does the park open? What time does EMH begin? AT 8? Does this mean I'm going to miss EMH because I'll be eating breakfast?

Also, I have 1 adult 1 child really old 1993 ticktets to exchange. Is the guest services desk at the gate open to do this prior to our breakfast?
