Hi,

In trying to get a feel for when I may be going down for my Canine Companions for Independence interview. I called yesterday to get some estames of when I might be asked to be down there. If I turn in one more piece of info by the end of the 1st week of March, she says she'll get back to me in three weeks. So I'm expecting a letter sometime in April. :)
So she told me that I most likely won't be the one in June. Which I kind of knew. The next one would likely be in Sept & after that Nov. My best time with classes & all is September.

Sorry for the ramble!! So my questions are:
What is it like in WDW in September? Weather? Crowds?
Do you think I'll be able to get a HA studio easily & Where? If I called for a villa in April? Just so that you are aware we have stayed @ BCV (our home) & VWL (twice)

Thanks for looking!!!

Allison

Hi Allison

September is a great time to go. The crowds are light and the weather is still hot. We were there for 2 weeks last September and apart from the hurricane it was a PERFECT time to visit. I very much doubt the hurricanes would be back this year.

I think you have an excellent chance of getting a HA room. Many people who don't require them get issued them so I doubt they are in such short supply a person who needs it and requests it wont get one. Our room at SSR in Sept was HA but we switched after a few days as DD 16 months was getting access to stuff she shouldn't have been able to reach! LOL

We loved SSR, maybe you could try it if you haven't been before (sorry cannot remember where you stay usually)

It's frustrating not knowing when you are going isn't it? You cannot plan properly.

All the best,

We really enjoyed our September trip last year as well. It was warm and we had showers almost everyday, but the rain didn't last. The best part were the crowds -- there were barely any!!! :)

We'd definitely do September again!

We went the last week of Sept/first week of Oct last year. The weather was great (we only got sprinkled on 1 day out of the 8), hot enough to swim still - but not so bad we were miserable. The parks were fine. We really never had to wait for more that 10 minutes or so for a ride, and the only park that felt crowded was AK. Epcot was even starting F & W Festival and it still didn't seem crowded. I think it's a superb time to go!

Hi,

Mandy,

We've stayed @ BCV (our home) & VWL!! Yes, it is hard to plan if your not sure when you are able to go. Thanks for posting!

The last week of September has become one of our favorite times of the year to go to WDW, along with the last week of January. As others have said the weather is usually nice and the crowds are light. Good luck in your planning.

Before we were in DVC we went during the second week in September, and it was wonderful. We walked on most rides, and the weather was nice.
