September Disney Events!!

Help!!! We are going to be booking a very difficult room to get for September 2008. We are flexible about what week in Sept. we can go, so I would like to avoid any busy events in order to ensure we get our room at the 7-month window. Beside food & wine, which we will be avoiding, in late Sept....can anyone give me ideas of some big events or festivals in Sept. that might affect our ability to get a high demand room?

Also, if there is a comprehensive event calender (I have not had luck finding one), I would also appreciate it.

Disney has begun having MNSSHP in September, this year they are on Fridays, starting around the middle of the month. I don't know of any other big event....

If you go to the Disney.com web site, they list events for each month by day and by park.

The whole month has been free dining for the past few years - this probably won't make if any more difficult to get your room, but you will want to make ADRS @ 180 days.

The little ones magic hour will also be going on in Sept.

Sept is NOT hard to get. that is why Disney has the free dinning in that month.

if you are really worth - you can trade your resort points for that resort - just ask on the DVC rental/trade.

Ok, I have definately been out of the loop for way too long. What "free dining"? I have seen this mentioned a couple of times but have not been able to find any information on it. Can someone please enlighten me? Thanks!

That, I know about. For those who book a stay at Disney resorts (non-DVC), Disney gives free DDP for the month of Sept. Nice deal

The "catch" is that you have to pay rack rate for the room and also buy at least one day of ticket media with the room.
