September dining problem

I called last week to make loads of ADR's for our stay September 14th - 30th and got everything I asked for, at the time I wanted, and we're just two of us. They told me there was lots of availability at that time.

I can't imagine they'd refuse to seat you. We had a breakfast ressie for 4 and my mom and brother decided to sleep in and they still seated the two of us. I'm still going to try for a table for two but I'm not going to miss out on a fave spot on our honeymoon b/c they only have availability for parties of 3 or more.

Gill - I'm glad you were able to get everything you wanted. Maybe the first week of Oct is busier than I thought.

We made all of our ressies for the end of Sept, 90 days out but just added extra person and I can't get ressies at any of my orignal restaurants for a party of five. I am going to try again a little later tonight. hopefully tables will open.

I had to call 3 times and ended up with 8:50pm (for 2) on 9/12. We don't like to eat that late but it's all we could get. All the reviews here have really helped fill it up!!

I'll be there on 9/8 and that's the only time they had for us (2) too! I think it's something to do with the "table for 2" thing. I had the same problem with CRT dinner, only the opposite, they only had 4:00! I'm going to call around 30 days out and try to change them. If not, oh well, it's not the end of the world! :goodvibes

there are some Jewish holidays in early october which means some schools have a few days off (i know most of nyc and long island schools will be closed) coupled w/the free dining, and $49 flights from southwest, well, i think it will be significantly higher crowds than normal...

Called last night for an ADR for Le Cellier for 3 guests. Guess What? There were plenty of times available. ;) Well I guess that our third guest will have to come down with a mysterious ailment :rotfl2: the night of our reservation. Thanks to those who provided this tip.

Congrats on the Le Cellier reservation!!!! What day/time did u get it for. We'll be there 9/17 @ 6:30. Maybe we'll see u there!!! :)

9/15 at 6:30. Can't wait to try the cheese soup that I have read so much about.

Another great example of "The Honeymoon Capital of the World" really catering to those couples! I don't understand why a party of 2 should have such a hard time getting a table, oh wait, I know, $$$$$$$$$$$$$ !

I called and originally asked for 4 adults on Thurs. 9/29 and there was nothing available but I did get it for Sun. 9/25 at 5:40pm which I am happy about because we will be out of there for illuminations .

I have never eatin here before and actually am only trying it due to the great reviews here.

Is there anything on their menu that is excluded on the dining plan?

Also, my sister who will be joining us is a vegeterian..has anyone eatin there that is also a vegetarian? What did you get?

In the past, when making PSs for 2, I've had CMs check the inventory for 4-tops automatically (I didn't ask) after seeing no availability for a table for 2. Maybe they are no longer allowed to volunteer to block a 4-top for a party of 2 now that they are on the ADR program?

I called yesterday for an ADR for Le Cellier on Sept 10 at 7pm for 3. No problem getting a time of 6:50.

I did this same thing with Le Cellier for my trip last November, we actually made it for 4 when we are only 2, and then we almost had friends meet us there (from the DIS) and then they really couldn't meet us, so we were telling the truth when we said the other half of our party couldn't make it LOL

I couldn't get le Cellier when I called for Sept 26...for a party of 6. I called exactly on 90 days out....I'm going to try again though before we go. It's not that we HAVE to eat there; I just wanted to try it after all the good reviews I have read. Right now we have Rose and Crown booked as our backup.

Interesting. I tried yesterday (or was it the day before?) to get reservations for my 9/1 thru 9/10 trip. I asked for lunch and dinner EVERY DAY!! for a party of 5. It was for 3 adults 2 children. The ONLY opening I could get was for 2pm on the Thursday after Labor day. I took it. I dont know if it will be a late lunch or an early dinner but I was very frustrated. I got the impression it will be very crowded- I had some minor problems with other ressies (rose and crown around illuminations times and chef mickeys, ltt and crystal palace on MK emh days) but the rest were ok. So maybe just the "biggies" are harder to get in...Last time we had reservations for LeCellier we still had to wait over an hour so we left. I did eat there once and it was the best meal in the world. Ive tried again 3-4 times since and its been so frustrating Ive just given up. Thought Id try again. Hope it works for us this time. Im hoping with the odd time we'll be ok...

I have a res for Le Cellier on 9/22 for dinner. There are only 2 of us, but the CM booked us a table for 3 and said "Oh, I think the baby will get sick and have to stay at the hotel with Grandma and Grandpa that night.........." I'm not going to lie, I'm not going to say anything - just say that we are here and leave it at that. If they ask how many I will just say 2. I'm sure they are not going to question it. It's the $$$$$$$$$$$$'s talking once again at Disney......why waste a table on 2 people when it will seat 4?????????

So Im thinking now we'll be 5 people sitting at a table for 4. Anyone want to argue that one? grin.
Oh well- at least we're a close family. :)

I haven't been able to secure dinner reservations for any of the restaurants that my DH and I want to eat at. LeCellier, CRT, Concourse Grill, and Ohana's. I have no idea where we are going to be able to eat while we are there. We are going 9/28 -10/3. Any ideas  :confused3
