September dining problem

I called last night to make an ADR for Le Cellier for our Sept. trip. There were no reservations available for 9/15 - 9/17! I was able to get Alfredo's and Concourse but really wanted to try Le Cellier. In talking with a very nice (and knowledgable) CM, it appears that the free dining has really increased the pressure on the good table service restaurants.

I would try calling again in a week, maybe there was a cancellation. Sometimes people make duplicate reservations, so also try calling once you are there, and a few days before you leave....maybe some no shows!

I know I did this for the CG, I made a reservation for a tues night and a wed night, but we will only be choosing 1 night and cancelling another. We don't know which night we want to dine there so we made 2. Maybe others are doing this as well. The CM making the PS told me to do it this way, so I would think there are many duplicate reservations in all the popular restaurants.

Don't give up....

I agree...don't give up! I ended up getting the times I wanted for a few places after I called back a couple of times, and I'm going in September as well. Good luck! :flower:

I also think you should keep trying - something will open up. Your best cheance may be a few weeks before you arrive. You can also ask the Guest Services CM at your resort to try for you when you arrive. Might work. Sometimes the restaruants hold back a few times for "last minute" guests who don't know about ADR/PS and make their reservations when they arrive.

If you haven't already, consider trying for lunch - especially at "off times".

Good luck!

How many people are you trying to make the ADR for? If it's just for 1 or 2, try making the ADR for 3 or 4 people. When you show up, tell them the rest of your group decided to stay at the hotel and swim or something like that. Some places are not taking bookings for 1 and sometimes not for 2. (and I know for a fact that Le Cellier is one of them at least for when I'm there in October). Try with 4 and you may be surprised.

Just my .02

I tried for a table for six and they had nothing. But there were 2 tables for 3 available so we took that.

I was going to say the same thing. I tried an ADR for 2 around sept. 22-24 and they had none. I called back and asked for 4 and got it on the exact date and time I wanted.

When is the free dining thing over? I have the dining plan for November but we had to pay for it because the trip was for free through an incentive program through Cingular. I am worried now that it is going to be hard to make reservations.

Le Cellier was a popular restaurant before MYW Dining. It's regarded as one of the best one credit restaurants on the plan. I think it's going to be one of the harder ADR to get.

If you have a party of 6-8 offer to take two tables. Keep checking for cancellations.

Maine_jennifer - I'm glad to hear that someone else had problems getting Le Cellier for 2 at the beginning of October. I'm going to call back and see if I can get a table for 3 instead.

1st time I heard of this Cingular incentive program...is it for customers or employees. No one offered me that to sign up, but I did get a couple of cheap camera phones - rather had WDW. :rotfl:

I had to call 3 times and ended up with 8:50pm (for 2) on 9/12. We don't like to eat that late but it's all we could get. All the reviews here have really helped fill it up!!

I knew this one would be hard to get, so I called 90 days out first thing in the morning for each of my 2 reservations. One for 9 people and another for 4 people. I got the exact times I wanted. Because of the dining plan, I had already decided to only worry about 2 places, with one being LeCellier and the other was CRT/Dinner. Good luck and keep trying.

We got Le Cellier for our August trip. I called the day after we booked it!! I recently tried to get a later seating for two and there was nothing available for two . . . only for parties of three and four?!? The CM said Le Cellier has become the "adult CRT"!!! :goodvibes

I wish I had known about trying for a 3 person table at the 90 day mark - I surely would have gotten a better time than 8:10 which I was able to get today for Oct 3. I'll still keep trying about once a week to get something closer to 6pm

i called yesterday and had no problem getting a 7pm (requested time) ADR for le cellier the last week of august... also had my choice of princess lunches and dinners (both in the castle and in epcot) :flower:

maybe they are opening up more reservations the closer it gets? I do know that tables for 2 are generally hard to come by since most of the tables I've seen at WDW seat a family of 4.

So what happens if you make thr reservation for 4 people and only 2 show up? Can they refuse to seat you or anything?
