I'm planning a trip to DL for 9/12-16 and I'm trying to figure out what the crowds will be like. I'm concerned about the short hours and so many rides being down. I've been in September in years past and enjoyed the light crowds but I know things are different now. Thanks for any opinions!

We don't know what the crowds will be like after the 60th. They've been high since it started, but there's really no reason to think they will drop off significantly. Halloween also starts 4 days after the 60th ends, and Halloween is popular and draws crowds.

The only rides closed (not counting Star Wars land closures) while you are there is Indiana Jones which opens back up on the 15th and Ariel. I don't want to jinx anything as I will be there during those dates but I suspect crowds will be lighter than we think. The 60th will have just ended and the Halloween parties haven't started. Throw in the sale that the DRH has going for those dates and it leads me to think that this might be a great week to go.

It should be the slowest week of the month to go but with the 60th you never know.
Still, after much research and experience we've decided to go at that time as well.

As PPs have said, we really don't have a good sense of how crowds will be once the 60th ends. HalloweenTime has, in the past, been very popular, with pretty good sized crowds on the weekends. Weekdays were less busy, but that was also before the tiered ticket pricing went into effect, so it's hard to say how that will impact weekday versus weekend crowds this fall.

We will be there the 14th -21st and are excitedly crossing our finger also. I have never been when the hours were reduced so it will be new for us also but I'm excited to hopefully take a slower pace.
