September crowds

Hi everyone. I will be going to WDW in mid Sept. I have some ADR's already. I'm not sure of what our whole stay is going to look like and was wondering if at that time of the year it would be possible to make reservations when we are down there. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

September is the land of free dining. Because of that even if the parks aren't crowded, the restaurants will be. I'd definitely make any ADRs you really want. If you want to change them once you are there you can always try. There was another thread about someone wanting to wing it, but still wanted to eat at 'Ohanas one night. But 'Ohanas was totally booked for every night of their stay already at this point.

Don't stress. We will be there the first 2 weeks of September and I still see a lot of availability. I've changed my ADRs numerous times. Also there is a September Cancellation thread where other DISers will post any ADRs they've cancelled.

I totally agree with OP. While the parks are not crowded compared to other months of the years... b/c of Free Dining, restaurants are very, very booked up. In fact, we are going the last week of Sept and already, very popular ones are not available at all: Ohanas dinner, LeCellier, early character Breakfast at the park, etc. However, last year, I noticed that about a months before our trip, people finalize their adrs so lots of cancellations occur so if you check several times a day, you have pretty good chance of getting those hard to get adrs.
