Following is the official announcement from the
DCL web site.
Weather Update
As of 1:00 p.m. EST - September 7, 2005
The safety and comfort of our guests is always our highest priority, and we are always prepared to modify our itineraries to avoid severe weather.
Due to the potential impact of Tropical Storm Ophelia along the Central Florida coast, the Disney Wonder cruise ship will operate out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale rather than Port Canaveral on Thursday, September 8, 2005. The September 8, 2005, three-night cruise will depart from Port Everglades and return to Port Canaveral on September 11, 2005.
Disney Cruise Line® reservation's agents are in the process of contacting guests scheduled to depart on the September 8 cruise and are making transportation arrangements for them to get to Fort Lauderdale. In addition, transportation arrangements are being made for those who are returning on the four-night September 4th cruise.
Guests who were planning to drive to Port Canaveral on September 8th should still plan to do so. We ask that you arrive no later than 2 p.m. on Thursday for transport to Port Everglades by bus.
At this time, there are no additional changes to upcoming itineraries. The Disney Magic is expected to set sail as scheduled from Port Canaveral on September 10, and the Disney Wonder is expected to depart as scheduled from Port Canaveral on September 11.
Guests who are scheduled to sail on the September 8, 2005 cruise may call (800) WDW-CRUISE or 800-939-2784 for more information.
My wife is so happy we are going on this cruise during hurricane season.

Now I remember why we decided against going on a cruise 23 years ago, and instead went to WDW for our honeymoon.
Just another adventure to talk about!
See you soon.
