September 6-12 is a great time to go to GKTW Eva Paige's Wish Take 2

My oldest knows...Hard to keep it from her...She is going to be 18 right before we leave...My son AJ and Eva (wish child) do not!! I am so happy that he does not know how to spell yet!!!

I already booked a lunch at Hollywood and Vine. Both little ones LOVE HAndy Manny and Oso!!

There is SO much to do!! We have to get suitcases because we have NONE!! I only have 48 days!!!

Great you got dates..Had a crazy few days and just found your ptr. Maybe we will run into each other.. Our dates are 6th-12th. We also made ADR for H&V. My three years loves disney jr.

That is so sweet!! Unfortunately we are not dealing with private insurance anymore :guilty: We have state assistance for her, thay are cutting back like mad. I am going to see if her Care at home program can pull a few strings.

I hope you get them strings pulled.. They are cutting back. We had problems last week on meds for my dd that had RSV.. We are lucky and have a great dr and she got the insurance to approve it. Which we payed for it and they refunded are money. I was getting my dd monthly meds the other day and i was seating and waiting. No lie in ten minutes, four peoples insurance wouldn't pay for their meds. I'll be praying that you get it approved.

WE spent the day celebrating Anthony's birthday after going to get Eva's glasses fixed...The frame broke!! I waaas in a panic BUT they were covered under warrantee!!:worship::worship: So we were able to pick out a NEW pair since her old frames were d/c'ed!!! We picked out ones that were NOT metal since that is the part she kept bending!! They are ADORABLE!! We should have them in a week. From there we went to the doctor because she felt warm and was so so irritable...other than a temp of 99 and a bit of nasal congestion the Dr said she was fine :dance3:

We then had Anthonys party at a bouncy place unfortunately due to people not replying what should have been a bigger party only turned out to be 4 boys...They had a BLAST though!!! So did Eva...she loved the trampoline and her older sister was able to get her to do somersaults on her own.....by saying stand up...touch the ground...head in ...and roll...She sings it to Eva and Eva follows direction!!! :woohoo: :cheer2:

The child AMAZES ME!!! Eva did NOT like the bouncy maze (lots of air blasting in her face) one more thing to add to my notes of things that set her off.

Great day in all though!! Has anyone heard the song Gods Will by Martia Mc Bride? I heard it last night and just bawled my eyes out...I so thought of all of our brave children and all that they go through. What brave amazing angels we have been gifted with!! :littleangel:

Happy late birthday!! I'm glad everybody had a blast.

Awww....Thanks his birthday is not until Thursday but I wanted him to celebrate it other than a dinner here with just me and his sister.....

I forgot to mention that the cat is out of the bag!!! Anthony (AJ) knows!!!

I feel horrible. Our reveal party is on the 30th of APRIL!!! Only 11 days prior to the trip...Honestly I have no clue how the MAW expected me to keep this secret until then....He knows he is going but thinks Disney is a place to see the charactors on TV ....I am trying to keep details MUM at this point....The little bugger overheard me talking to my mom (I was hiding in the bathroom!!!) IS NO PLACE SACRED????:rotfl2:

I guess I should let the trip planners know? Would they even care...this is not his wish it is Eva's...Eva is still in a fog about it....I am going to have to try and record her saying her Miska Mouska Mickey Mouse....It is more like mika mook Mikey Mook CRACKS ME UP!!!! :lmao:

Hehehe - that is a difficult secret to keep!!!! you do have to record her saying that - must be ADORABLE!!!!

:wizard:

:wizard:

Was not able to get the video today...Anthony is sick and Eva was uncooperative...All she wanted to do was strip down!!

Starting to go through the childrens clothing and see what the have and make lists...I hope we dont lose the list!! (I have a knack for that!!) :lmao:

45 days left till Disney...It all seems so unreal...

Can anyone tell me how to get a postcard sent to the kids from Disney...I remember seeing this but cant find it. TYIA!!!

I can't remember what forum it was in, but I remember seeing a fairy godmother thread on these boards which I think is what they do :)

One more thing...I am looking for a printable countdown calendar....Anyone have info on that?

Thanks for the other info I found the fairy godmother thread!!

The DISigners over on the Creative Boards make SUPER! cute countdowns. And they usually get them done fairly quickly too. I know Tebi (Allison) does them She has her own thread and they are awesome.

Eva is laying down right now pressing the buttons on Buzz Lightyear over and over again!! If I hear to Infinity and Beyond again I think I am going to go NUTS!!!:rotfl2: Forgot to mention that this is her BROTHERS toy that she hijacked along with his Woody!!! My oldest is sick with a stomach virus...I am hoping that she was not kind enough to share this with Eva!! I cannot imagine that with a nissen!!

I finally got it...I am sorry about the quailty. Eva is hard to capture:upsidedow

So without further ado......popcorn::popcorn:: HERE'S EVA!:cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks for the tip!! I have emailed her and she is working on it...Today we are off to get Eva new leg braces....I hope they have some cute ones...her last ones were pink with butterflies. I am thinking of trying to get Minnie if at all possible since she loves her maybe that will make her wearing them a bit easier!

ETA: Well could not get Disney ones they had Tweety but we went with purple background and butterfies. She should have them well before Disney plenty of time to break them in before we go.

I am beginnig to go into a panic over things...We know NO details and I am getting very anxious. I dont know flight info NOTHING!!! I realize that we are getting a trip of a lifetime and I should just sit back and go with the flow but I dont handle last minute things well...My wish grantor is on vacation for a week and she said she would go into things when she comes back next Friday. They must think I am a NUT at our MAW with all the questions.

:confused3

Wanted to say THANK YOU!!! There is a very special person that is sending a Mickey postcard to Eva and Anthony. I SO APPRECIATE YOU GOING OUT OF YOUR WAY!!!

ETA:

We had a very very big scare tonight...Eva had a febrile seizure tonight. She went from 100.4 to 104.6 rapidly. I literally felt her get hot in my arms. I was taking her temperature and her eyes rolled back and she moaned then she started seizing. THANK GOD FOR DIASTAT!!! We are over 30 miles from a decent hospital and over 11/2 hours from the Childrens hospital. I NEVER WANT TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN!!! I feel like I aged 100 years in 10 minutes. I was an LPN and NOTHING can prepare you for when it is YOUR child....She is sleeping well now, Mommy is going to have a small glass of wind and then go to bed holding her. At this rate I am baginning to think that Miss Eva is in cahouts with Miss Clairol!

Went to the doctor and Eva has some abnormal blood work...Her thyriod levels are out of wack and her liver is enlarged..Awaiting a sonogram tomorrow for that.....No further seizures though. Keep telling myself not to worry until they tell me to worry!!!

JUst a funny to share...My oldest daughter Carissa and I were having a conversation about Disney and needed to spell...TOTALLY FORGOT that Eva and AJ KNOW M-i-c-k-e-y!!!! :rotfl2:

Not one of my finest Mommy moments!

Curious as to what you think of going to Epcot with a 6 year old and a 3 year old who is on the level of a 18 months old? I am wondering if it is worth it...We had first planned to skip it but since I am unsure if we would ever get there again I would hate to pass on it.

Eva and her brother's Buzz and Woody that she hijacked

Cute pic of Eva playing with AJ's toys!

I would totally fit in Epcot if your schedule allows for it. It might seem like that park is targeted for older kids, but there really is a lot for the little ones to see and do. A trip to the Seas (and to Crush's Turtle Talk!) might be worth it alone.

Also, there are still lots of rides and shows and interactive things to do there. AJ might get a kick out of going from country to country collecting stamps, for example or playing with the Kim Possible Kimmunicator missions. And, there are quite a few characters there that you won't likely meet at AK or MK. Tink and the Fairies can only be seen at Epcot now (except in the parades of course!) and Mulan can often be found near China.

Also, Carissa might like Pick-a-Pearl in Japan! (This could be something special just for her--maybe the only secret you can keep from her--you go and pay a $ (don't think it's too much--like $16?) and she can select an actual cultured oyster from a tank. The pearl guy will perform a little ceremony and then open it up. Measure and clean up the pearl, which is then yours to keep! (Of course, they also sell jewelry on-site to set the pearl into.) Sometimes you get lucky--and there are two pearls inside!

Pick-a-pearl can also be done at Downtown Disney and at SeaWorld. Don't think they do it at Universal, though!

Anyways--all to say that Epcot is worth it if you have the time!

The pearl thing sounds like FUN!! She would LOVE it!! Guess we are going to have to squeeze Epcot in....

Slow day here today...Eva is sick with a URI....boogies are EVERYWHERE!! PRAYING that it does not turn into bronchitis!! Her sono was negative...They feel that the liver feels enlarged but it is due to her unique anatomy! LOL :banana: Taking Anthony to the doctor today since he has a morning/night cough that does not quit!

I was also able to get Evas Pediasure into a priority box that weighs around 10 lbs...(if we have room in the luggage we will take it) She only takes 2 cans at night of the high calorie one so I will buy the lower calorie one in Walmart for use in the day.

We have the countdown calender and will start to use that tomorrow!! :dance3:

So glad to hear the sonogram came back clear!! Crazy thyroid levels can make you feel so bad, she is definitely in my thoughts and prayers. I didn't realize how crappy I felt until I got onto Thyroid medication and it evened out my levels.

My son (he's 2) has allergies and everything here in Georgia is blooming and so I'm right there with ya.... I'm covered in snot all day long.

Hope she gets to feeling better and she gets some relief from her cough. USPS also has flat rate shipping so if you can fit it in a box no matter what the weight, you can mail it for a flat rate. Just in case you didn't want to try and pack it due to weight limits on planes. Their charges are CRAZY! now days.

Hope y'all enjoy your day.

Thanks for the well wishes...unfortunately she is not better she is now throwing up!! :sad2: Poor thing I think it must really hurt with the Nissen fundoplication (they wrapped her stomach aroungd the esphagus to PREVENT vomiting!) I have to watch her hernia (from the surgery!) too when this happens....ALAS ALWAYS SOMETHING!! LOL

you should totally do Epcot. MY son is 3 and has PDD_NOS and nonverbal. He adores Epcot. Has since he was a baby loves to watch things.
