September 4th (2004) Disney Magic Cruise List

Well...tracking says that it is on a truck in our town, so it shouldn't be long now till we have our documents!!!!

That's a good sign!!!

Great pics Melody! Meimei and Starlight look like they've taken well to their parents. :)

Unfortunately, there is a greyhound track not too far from us in Tampa. Every time we go to the SPCA or Humane Society there are always many greyhounds up for adoption. A couple of animal rights groups are working on a constitutional amendment to ban the practice and hopefully they'll succeed.

Thanks!

And I'd have to agree on the banning of greyhound racing. They are such gentle and loving animals!

Ok ... with all these animal lovers onboard there's a need to be careful. We cannot be falling in love with any of the animals at the ports (domestic or wild) and trying to smuggle them on the ship. :D

I was watching an episode of "Airplane" on A&E channel last week. Its a live documentary type series where they do things going on at an airport. This poor woman was so heart broken because she couldn't bring her new puppy with her. She didn't realize the regulations regarding that and thought she could just carry the little fella on. Boy was that tear jerker with her crying at the check-in counter! Happy ending though, she left the dog with her daughter in that city and she brought the puppy over a month later.

since princessdiaries comes out wed, do you think it will still be playing on board?

I hate the animal racing business - horse and greyhound, but at least horses have it better (since most go into breeding). Thank you for sharing that with us. I think it gives us all a new understanding and appreciation for rescued animals. And I do so hate boarding my pets, even though they are at the Vet Clinic Boarding - still and all - how could one sneak a chihuahua on the ship??????? Maybe he could be a "seeing eye" dog!!!

For the first time I am not concerned about the Documents - maybe I am crazy but hey, booking so late, I can't expect them to get here as quickly as those of you who have waited it out!

No packing done here yet.....either.

I didn't get ours yet either.
I am told that normal time period to expect documents are 30-14 days prior to cruise. We are at 23 or 24, right? So we still have about a week or more left before we can start panicking.

Plus, getting an upgrade must make it easier to be patient, Rae! Look forward to sailing with you. :)

From what I have been told that if the documents do not arrive, they still have all our information at the Port and we can fill them out there.

Don't worry Rae, there is no way we'd allow them to make you stay at Port!!! Besides, we'd throw shrimp overboard to you! ;)

Samsara,

Congratulations on YOUR master's degree! Now it's time for us to get our PhD!

My husband is working on his doctorate in pharmacy. He just completed his first year. Someone is always doing homework in my house.

Oh, and by the way...We have our documents!!!

Maryleigh:D

Rae, I'm sure you have your reservations well in hand. Not a thing to worry about regarding the documents. They might just be held up a bit while DCL upgrades the people in stateroom 5622 to switch you all over. :D

I'm just making my checklist of things to do before I leave here on on 9/2. Love the anticipation.

Thanks for the congrats Maryleigh! To be honest, I don't think I'll ever go further with my education. Unless I really wanted to pursue a career in higher-education teaching or applied research, a Ph.D. in social work really wouldn't serve me that well. And, I'm surprised I made it through the Masters program! I am burnt out on school!!! :crazy2:

And whooo hoooo about the docs!!! :teeth: (Am I allowed to talk to a librarian like that? ;) )

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ohhhhh...

Can't wait to get you out on that dance floor in Rockin' Bar D...

(Just kidding! I don't dance and I will run screaming from the room if someone attempts to make me. Just ask the cruise staff from previous cruises. :teeth: )

well i guess we are in the same boat docs-wise, as well as cruise-wise. lol. ours haven't come yet, how did you get that racking number, doc? would like to check into that.

some of us started packing, after picking up dw's cases from repair center, i figured that she would get going but she hasn't yet. i bought her a new garment bag on wheels at the shop, she was pretty happy, and i wqas too because it was on clearance and i saved over $100, woohoo.

time is counting down to c-day, and i've got to finish painting the house and fix the gate so the twins don't escape again while we are gone. we have twin goldens, luke and leia, who spent a little time at the pound earlier this summer when we went camping. ourneighbor came over to feed and water them and they were gone, kinda freaked him out, not to mention us, but it got straightened out and now i need to put a safety latch on the gate.

hopefully we will all get those docs today.

Ask me!
Ask me!

Aren't you the one who was sitting on top of the Dueling Pianos singing with them? Ohhhh, but that wasn't dancing, now was it?
