Quiet day here. We went looking for a chair for my reading room, since we gave mine to Bonnie so she can look out the living room window. We’ll be looking for quite awhile.

…shocked! I was randomly going through old Disney webpages… and in one of Disney’s archive pages, apparently Disney’s rival Cartoon Network bought up ad space! I guess Nickelodeon wasn’t the only victim of CN taking over another network…

I hope not. Yesterday I got the idea that a rocking chair might do, today we have sleet forecasted for the whole day, but nice tomorrow, so, we’ll head out to look for one then.

Wal Mart had one that was reasonably priced, but it was white, and in a box, so I couldn’t try it out.

I’m gonna have to bundle up today. Currently, at 6:30am, it’s 2 degrees out and our high today will be 12 degrees This is one of the several reasons why we want to move to Florida when we retire.

@bobbiwoz - good luck with finding a new chair. Furniture shopping is such a chore, and today’s prices are kinda scary. I hope you find something you like.

@slo , thank you. This will be the second time, I’ve looked for a chair. The first was when we moved here full time, in 2017. I gave up, and it was fine because, I almost never have guests in the room with me, and when I do, we can use kitchen chairs around a card table, because we are doing a puzzle. But now, I need a chair for me to read in, and I don’t want to pay $1000 ! I see things on Wayfair, but I really hope to sit in the chair before buying.

Relaxing ... I am a sissy when it comes to watching historical championships...so I don't watch.... anyhow sucks to sit in a rocking chair when a earthquake happens...must of been petting the dog...nah...too far away

I agree about sitting in the chair before buying it - there’s no way I’m buying furniture online without sitting in it first. I often wonder how many people do that. You should go look at some thrift stores to see if they have anything. If you like something, you could have a carpet cleaner come to your house and clean it real good. This would be way cheaper than buying new. My carpet cleaner is coming to clean my furniture. It’s still in good shape and just needs to be brightened up. With furniture being so expensive now, I’ll keep cleaning it for as long as I can. I hope you find something

It’s 2 degrees outside - gotta love winter in the Midwest

I’m pulling the trigger this morning and going to the orthopedic and scheduling my knee replacement . I’m nervous, I’m excited, I’m all sorts of emotions about this. I’m asking for August 8th - hopefully I’ll get that date. I’ve known about needing my knees replaced for about 8 years now. After I get this knee done, I’ll set the date for the other one in 2027.
