September 30th, 2004 Wonder

Yes, Michelle, I was just now reading about Lisa - but honestly? Unless that hurricane barrels down on Florida?? I'm GOIN' ANYWAY!! I am NOT rescheduling this thing YET again!

:genie: I get three wishes and the first is no more storms...just lots of :sunny:

I'm a big Indians fan too.....me and pinocchio are in this  family together!!!:)

Well 4 more days until we leave and start heading south for vacation:teeth:

Does anyone have any DD around 3 or 6 years of age? I am sure I haven't read all the posts and it is probably in there. I have one of each.princess:

Hi Becky! don't forget to meet us after the life boat drill at Signals for our "woohoo we made it" toast :) Goofy is going to try to get a table on the side facing away from the terminal so those with kids don't run into any problems being at Signals :)

It's getting CLOOOOOOOOOOOSER! :)

I'm so excited to go on this cruise!!!! I'm almost done packing! Did good this time, got all our clothes, except the baby's, in the same suitcase.

Dh and I are in disagreement about the jacket for Tritons. He has to dress up everyday for work and is refusing to dress up on the boat. He also won't let me pack his dress shoes...he says he's wearing black sneakers instead (they're old). Do I just go ahead and shove a sport coat into the suitcase without his knowing?? And if I do, would he wear it??

I swear I'm gonna stop listening to the weather, cuz it's making me apprehensive! Plus, my mom keeps calling us and asking us to cancel. She heard that Lisa could be in the Carribbean next week. She's so worried about the baby getting sea sick from rough seas. I DON'T want to cancel.

We cruised once in November a few years back when there was a hurricane; and had an AWESOME cruise. Since weather was too bad to get to St. Maarten, we went to Castaway Cay 1st, then Puerto Rico, then St. Thomas, then we went back to Castaway Cay for a 2nd visit. It ended up beeing THE BEST Disney cruise ever for me!! (DS and DH got sick from the 20 foot waves (the waves were almost at the 2nd floor windows at times) , the shows still went on as scheduled (which was amazing, because we couldn't walk straight without holding on to walls), and dinner was just a little louder with the occasional dish breaking.) The fun I had so much outweighed the rocking!! Even though DH and DS spent 2 days in the cabin sick together, they would agree it was awesome getting to Castaway Cay twice in one trip.

Michelle - I have been watching the "storm" postings on the regular Disney Cruise forum - I'm really thinking Lisa won't interfere - we canceled once already because of Frances - I'm not canceling again. I don't even know if we could.

Let's just keep hoping for the best!!:sunny:
My DBF was just as enthused about dressing up - LOL - but he's packing a shirt and tie - I told him it's a no no at Palo to be casual - LOL.

I am REALLY getting excited! Are we all tired of hearing me say that yet?

Bridget

Tink,

make a compromise....let him wear his sneaks if he brings a coat....

(feet won't show in most pictures)

and it is vacation.....

So do you guys think it's ok for the men to just wear a shirt and dress pants for Triton's or do they need the jacket too? Don't want to be too casual but it's a pain to have to pack that for one night! Debating whether or not to bring the sons' jackets or just dress shirts, pants, and tie. Let me know what you think from your past experiences! Thanks. Janine

pinocchio,

The ship has gotten much more casual than in the beginning...

I wouldn't pack jackets for the boys....Even just nice shirts would be fine.....

I'm packing my husbands coat (since I would like to go to Palo one night).

But if you don't have the packing space... A nice shirt and tie would do.

Janine, I'm not packing DS's jacket. He wants to wear his nice Hawiian shirts for dinner and pants. Usually they have really fun things for the kids to do at 10pm. So as soon as he finishes eating, he excuses himself and heads to the lab for the activity. Usually it's easier to participate if not all dressed up.

For those with kids---are you going to let your older ones check in and out of the lab themselves?

Is BBB opened as an alternative to evening dining?

For anyone who has been to Nassau before---Would you take an infant to the Atlantis? I'm thinking it might be easier for just DH and DS to go since I nurse the baby.

BBB is ONLY open for kids clubs to eat their dinner....

They usually eat during the early dinner seating.

I didn't let my dd sign in/out when she was 9 but now she is 11 and if she checks in occasionally, I'm ok with it

We decided to nix the Palo idea. We figure that there will be so much to do and see we wont want to have to worry about getting back to the stateroom to change into something fancy and make our reservation. Maybe if we were doing a 7 day, but definately not on the 3 day. We decided that we will go somewhere nice while at WDW instead when we have more time. I am definately not making Mike pack a coat. Takes up far too much room to wear it for a few hours.

Thanks for your responses about the jacket. Since we are not going to Palo, I think I'm going to skip packing the jacket.
With all the stuff to pack for the baby, we don't have much room for luggage in the car. So skip the bulky jacket! DH will be happy.

Has anyone noticed the path of Jeanne lately.......

:worried:

OK...so it will probably leave the Bahamas alone...

But its current path puts in over the Maryland/Virginia Area by oh lets say WEDNESDAY AS IN THE DAY WE FLY .......

I need an extra dose of pixie dust on this one.....

I can't get to FL unless we fly......:headache:

goofy - I am right there with ya sister! We can't get there without flying either... :(

PIXIE DUST PLEASE!!! :Pinkbounc

Pixie Dust and prayers for great weather, awesome flights, and smooth sailings!

I'm so EXCITED!!! Getting butterflies in my stomach every time I think about the vacation!

3 days left till the wedding & only 7 till the cruise!!!!!!! I am far too excited for my own good!!!!!!!!

I was going to have my two boys wear polo shirts for dinner with dress pants. I am sure that will be fine.::MickeyMo

How does it work with the kids checking themselves in the labs:confused:

3 more days until we leave:hyper: I can't wait!!!!!

The kids clubs have a sign in and out sheet. If you give your child permission to check in/out, you will sign a permission paper. Otherwise, you will have to be present to sign them in and out. Either way, you will get a pager so that they can communicate with you. We gave ds permission to do this on the last cruise, but I worried about him as soon as he left our sight, even though another boy from our dinner table went with him.
