September 30, 2012 - "To San Francisco and Beyond"

Hello Everyone :)

I have been putting the FE list together with the people who have
responded on the thread.

Please PM me with the following information:
Disboard Name
Stateroom #
Names of adults and children (ages of children, if any)
Any other pertinent information i.e. celebrations, allergies, etc.
Email address (I will email final list to all participants)

As of today we have 5 families participating. As we get closer to our cruise
date...I will post a cutoff date for FE sign ups. In reading other threads
it looks like the cutoff has been 6 weeks before cruise date...will that work for everyone?

Looking forward to having more sign ups :)

Thank you...
Deb

Woohoo! As of today we have 7 families participating.

My husband and I just booked this cruise for our kids (5 and 3). We were already scheduled to go on the MR cruise on 11/25 but decided this one sounded fun and we will be celebrating our DS 6th birthday while on the cruise. This is our kids 3rd cruise and our 4th. So excited. I'm not trying to find a hotel to stay in the night before the cruise, and looking for one that offers transportation and park and cruise. Any ideas?

We are:

Lisa
Carl (DH)
Alec (DS, age 5 turning 6)
Olivia (DD, age 3)

Hi, and welcome! This will be my third cruise out of L.A. with DCL. I like the San Pedro Inn and Suites. They offer free breakfast and transportation to the port. I'm not positive about the park and cruise, however, as we've always flown down the night before, but it seems to me they might. Here's their direct number:310 514 -1414. I booked them through priceline for $89.

This morning I received an email from Disney that said congratulation on your reservation. It was for the same reservation number as this cruise, same dates but the destination said Mexican Riviera. The itinerary is still the Pacific Coast. Are they planning on changing our cruise? I will be calling them later to check.

Thanks so much

Booked the San Pedro Inn. It was $169 with Park and Cruise. I'll shop for a better deal but at least have a ressie. Thanks again

Hi,
My DH & I will be joining you on this cruise. We will be leaving the kids with friends and be free to explore the California Coast. :goodvibes

Welcome thefamilymouse and threeiscrazy to our cruise thread!!!

Looking forward to meeting you...

:welcome:

My family (DH & DS) have been die hard cruisers and DVC members. I tried to convince my sisters and their families to join us on this cruise for over a year and I was finally successful. Yeah!!!!

So, there are four more families joining:

The Baier's (Las Vegas, NV)
The Layne's (El Segundo, CA)
The Layne's (Murrieta, CA)....yes, two sisters married two brothers. Odd, but true.
The Johnson's (Oceanside, CA)

I have added our name to FE exchange list. I will try to get my sisters onboard as well so our FE group can grow a little.

Hope to meet some of you on the ship!

LB

This is going to be our first cruise, me, my husband, and 6 year old son. I've been on a few cruises before with Carnival, but this is our first on Disney and we're are very excited. Are there any tips or secrets from past cruisers that you might want to share with a newbie? Thank you all for any advice!

Also, even though we're new we would love to join the FE. I tried to PM Disney-ite, but it said I had to have at least 10 posts. Would we be able to join?

Welcome and congrats on your first cruise. Our DS will be turning 6 on the cruise. Be prepared to have your son want to spend all his time in the kids club. If you would like to try and introduce the kids, let me know.

For those of you who joined, welcome!! I'm Disney-ite's niece but will not be on the cruise due to school.

Welcome 1stTimePartyof3 and Family!

I have sent you a PM regarding the FE exchange. So glad that
you will be joining us.
