September 3, 2005 --- Who is going?

Crash, you're welcome.

Once I am done with the door sign, I am hoping to make matching iron ons for tees for us. Depends how ambitious I get between now and then. :teeth: I can't remember where I put the magnetic sheets either. LOL

Crash
I think you can buy the sheets at Walmart or Office Depot. Or buy the magnetic strips or tape at Walmart too.

We were a gty. (booked in March) We were assigned a room about the 2nd week of June.
Hmmmmm........I'm still a GUAR............I know what it is.........I'm being upgraded to the Walt Disney :dancer:Suite :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It is amazing how many of us will be on board the Magic. The Promenade Lounge is a great place to meet as usually no one is there at that time, and there is a lot of seating available. Topsiders is busy for lunch on embarkation day and would not have enough seating for all of us. Meeting at 3pm would give us enough time before the drill at 4pm.

I think it would be great if everyone would post, if they don't mind, who their family members are, so we could get an idea of who has kids the same age etc.

I have another one for you, a duplicate...

My wife is Mom2boyz2000. Her name is Suzanne. My 2 DSs are 9 (Josh) and 4 (Zak). We're also traveling with my wife's mom and step father and Suzanne's sister, husband and 2 kids (5 year old daughter & 11 month old son). So there are 10 in our party.

We'd love to meet on board Saturday. Just let us know when and where.

What time do they let us board? We're driving down Saturday from Jacksonville. I told the family that we need to have the van packed Friday night!

KDE175...

:cool1: Congrats!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

This brings back memories of when I called my dear clueless spouse over screaming TOM! TOM! come over here!!!!! I showed him the pregnancy test strip and he sort of said "are you ok"? He glanced at the strip and me and silently turned to begin walking away.... I quickly directed / asked him ... "do you see the line here?!?!!" and he glanced down and said... "yeah,.... so what?".... and I smiled and paused - and then he caught on!

Such a happy HAPPY moment - :rotfl2:

Congrats AGAIN KDE175!!!!

now that that's done with ... now you need to take it easy. Relax. No heavy activity out of the ordinary - and if heavy activity is the norm - nows a good time to CUT IT down a little. Heh-hee-hee! Gotta make it through the first trimester so we can ogle over the ultra-sound images you might have by then! Oh - and make sure to BRING a VIDEO TAPE to your OB when they do the ultrasound -most of the machines have a VCR and you can get a RECORDING of the ultrasound exam for your memories! OH another thing - the DOc may want to get the machine and sensor aimed right BEFORE they turn on and start recording. Try to politely have them turn it ON early... I think it's more interesting then just getting about 15 seconds of an image. Our OB went ahead and did a sort of "tour" of what we were looking at for the second daughter (discussed organs visible/developemental hallmarks/etc.)... SO try to ask a few questions on WHAT the DOc can see while the recording is running. On the very first exam for the first daughter he only did a 15-20 second view because he seemed to FORGET to turn it on till the exam was more or less already over!

Oh well... adios for now!

:cheer2: :flower:

 Just want to wish everyone a good week. I am off to Seaworld tomorrow and then a few days at the Nick Hotel in Orlando.

And we sail in 46 days!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

The official boarding time is 1 pm. In April we were able to board at 11:45, the cruise before that it was 12:15. I think you are usually allowed on by 12:30 though.

Thanks! It will be exciting I'm sure :Pinkbounc I don't expect much relaxation with DD6. I'll have to save the relaxation for the September vacation...... :rotfl:

I have been trying to plan our excursions. I have found that cruisecritic.com to be very heplful ,pm me and I will tell you exactly where to look on the site.

We have decided to go with sunnylistontours.com Thats on St. Thomas check out the web site

Still deciding on what to do in ST.Maarten
1. www.sailjester.com
2. st maarteen beach excursion
3. or the beach on our own

Can't wait!!! :Pinkbounc

After some consideration here's posting #300....

.... On St Maarten we're gonna rent a car and run around at our own pace. We have a couple of younbg kids so we feel the convenience of having an airconditioned car to haul around our stuff .... plus the ability of coming and going as we please makes some sense to us.

As such - we were gonna go to the butterfly farm - having seen their web site our 4 year old has great interest. In the weeks to come we're gonna revisit the site and try to familiarize her with some of the various species.

Following this we'll hit a beach - stop for photos a bunch and just explore a bit off the routine routes. I imagine we might have gone to Orient Beach - but we went there last year and some other beaches we described as less comercialized. So we might sort of play it by ear. In the end the cost is siimilar to taking a cab in a triangle since the car rental is $42 from Budget, They're on the pier. Including taxes but not LDW it comes to just $50 for a corolla. We could have had a RAV 4 compact SUV for only $16 more but I actually donot like the SUVs much compared to a regular car. We used a upromise discount to get under the posted internet deals that budget had up. No money need now so the reservation holds without a financial commitment. SO we might cut back to a taxi if our plans simplify in the last moment.

Anyway - on St Thomas we are still evaluating it - but tenatively we might visit the coral park - and do a beach adjacent. BTW.... anyone interested in sharing / splitting on a fixed or rotary wing charter? This is assuming the plane/craft takes more than 4 and that we can get a significantly better deal than buying one at a time. In Alaska we saved about 40% buy chartering a float plane versus buying one seat at a time.

Following the coral park and swim - and possibly a flight-seeing round we were gonna do a little shopping run through a store in town that my spouse always likes to hit for doo-dads.

On another note - we tried to make Palo reses but the system showed NO times for any day. I hope the system was just on the "blink" and not that there was no space left already!

ALso.... for the roster of DIS families sailing : our family consists of husband and wife (low 40s) plus 2 daughters: Julianna 4 and Kalea 1.75. You'll recognize us as the familiy probably in matching outfits AND my spouse is a size ZERO petite. So she might be the most petite lady of our pirate band.

AND.... is anyone bringing Pirate attire aboard? Or how about a tux... or tux elements? I would be curious whether a white or black jacket was appropriate. I figured a tropical dinner would be a dinner white coat thing. PLUS I have never really dressed up for the semi-formal nites so this was going to be a first for my older daughters' sake - she asked about it!

At any rate - these were our ideas so far. :wizard:
