September 29,2013 - DVC Member Cruise

We're in different classes? Oh no. i told iron man and he's already balking at the prospect. JQ's having a lot of fun with it. this is going to be quite a trip. We leave on May 22. That's two years to the day from our 5/22 4-nt cruise on the Dream.

Can't believe it's been two years. Maybe I'll post some inspirational pics from that trip to get us in the mood.


Disneybelle99 i'll keep an eye on that thread. thanks. I was hoping to take the group to Ohana possibly on 9/27 but reservations seem to be gone except for late times.

Have a safe trip. We are driving down again on Friday and flying back on Monday. We just got back last weekend after driving down. We got to watch the Dream sail out. It was amazing all the people sitting on the grass watching her sail out. We did a 4 nite RCC just to get a feel for it (plus we had a free companion fare). My kids are finally starting to get excited. It won't be long now.

Hello Everyone!

Just dropped in to let you know we arrived at WDW! And it's hot! Very hectic 2 wks preparing to be out of town for so long. yesterday was chaos.
Aaahhh but it's always so good to be here!

Autotrain was a great ride. We'll fill you in later. Took lots of pics.

We're at the Pop 4nts and Saratoga 5nts.

So much has been happening around here! they're selling the Grand Floridian! they're hosting a 24 hr all nighter at the MK! Star Wars Weekends are at The Studios!

And our cruise is getting closer every day!

Maryrn411168: 8th grade graduations are very big in our family. congratulations to your son. You're right. The 120 day booking window will open up next week on June 1 - the day we leave. I hope we don't forget while we're down here. Of course I brought none of my cruise paperwork with me so I'll have to call and get the confirm numbers. It's always something!

Henlady: Your grandson is too cute! Great decision on the Food and Wine. We'll be there that day too! We'll have to have a minimeet! Plenty of time to decide on the FE but hurry up already!

Crazy8ma: I can't believe you just cruised and are heading back down!! Why only one way by car? and where are you guys staying?

Right now we're resting up for tomorrow. Park opens 6am!

Anyway, the reason for my post is I was wondering if there will be any single people cruising on the 9/29 DVC Member Cruise? I will be cruising with my parents whom I will be spending most of my time with but they tend to go to bed early.
Anyway, if not, no big deal. But please come and say hello if you see a blonde sitting at the bar by herself.

I heard about the 24 hrs at MK. A co-worker is flying to WDW in the morning, heading to the MK and then boarding the Dream on Sunday for her first cruise ever. She couldn't stand listening to me about the cruises and decided to try it herself

I did end up signing up for the FE.

Tell IronMan good luck with his endeavor over the summer. I'm sure he'll have a blast.

MsTara - Welcome to the boards. Glad to have you onboard. Not sure about many "singles", but I do believe Poison Ivy's son is single and he'll be onboard. I'm an "older" lady, and my DH goes to bed early also, but I enjoy having a drink in the lounges. I'll keep a watch for you.

My 32 year old son is single, a computer guru, usually found at night floating alone in the adult pool. Last I knew he had a long beard and threatened to get it beaded like Captain Jack. He is interesting and has a good sense of humor but is shy.

Would someone be able to give me a list of ages and boy or girl for the children on the list? I have joined the FE, but haven't gotten a "listing" yet. I saw a couple of things for the kiddos but need to know how many boys & girls and ages only, so that I know which to pick up.

So glad to know there will be some singles on the cruise! Our original plan was to bring our 22-yr old son with us. He's cruised with us on both our previous Disney cruises. Unfortunately, he is unsure he can get the time off work. I have asked our 28-yr old son if he'd like to join us if his brother doesn't go. So either way, one of our single sons will be with us.

I'll be traveling with my mom and this is kinda a celebration of her b'day on Oct. 2nd. We spurged for a concierge room for the first time and we're both really looking forward to it. Can't believe that our 120 day window is this Saturday already!

We did put in a couple of requests with the Concierge team but still tempted to be up at midnight to check. No matter what happens, I'm can't wait for this trip.

Plan to spend a few extra days at the BWV following the cruise so we can go to F&W festival at EPCOT. Think we'll go on our first day as that is Thursday and may be slightly less crowded than the w/end. Anyone who has gone before be able to tell me what to expect as this is our first time going to this event.

We booked a Palo brunch, and a cabana for the second stop at CC. That went well, but the online check-in was horrible. Took me over a day to get it to work - kept getting a server error. Finally got through, and then the pages were loading like molasses - took over an hour to fill everything out when it should have been 5-10 minutes, tops. My computer was working fine at any other site I visited, it was just the DCL website that was giving me problems. Very frustrating.

Hi Meg,
We are also in concierge and put in our requests to shore side a couple days before. They screwed up our dining ressies, which we fixed, but they did get the cabana we asked for.
Hope to see you guys in the lounge. This should be a great cruise.
