Hi everyone... I just found out about DIS forums! This will be our first Disney Cruise and are all super excited about. I would love any information or tips. I also found out about the meeting on the first day. How do I know who to look for? LOL

I also wanted to ask if anyone has kids my kids ages. Our oldest is a boy he is 11 years old, our middle is a girl she is 6 years old and our yougest is a girl she is 3 years old!

We also homeschool and would love to meet some other homeschoolers but we would love to meet new familes even if they aren't homeschoolers.

Hope to hear from some people soon!!!!

My dd just turned 4 two days ago! Looks like she will have quite a few kids her age to play with!! BTW, I have family that live in Tarpley and Bandera. Beautiful country!!

I'd prefer to meet at 3:00. You're probably right...45min. should be enough time to update any room changes and meet everyone.

Thanks for the lunch times. I think we should try to meet at Parrot Cay for a homeschool chat over lunch on Monday since they're open a little longer. What do you other homeschoolers think?

I agree I would prefer it stay at 3pm. 45 min should be enough time to meet and get room changes.

FOr the homeschoolers meet. I asked the kids and they don't want to sign up without knowing what they are going to miss at their clubs. So depends on what they have planned. They don't want to miss out on their fun. lol

There is a soda station by the pool! Free all cruise long. We bring a Bubba Keg (just a big insulated mug) and keep refills going

Just read a tip I never heard! Bring a large cup...fill half way with free ice cream, then fill other half with free soda...a free coke float! Smoothies aren't free, so this might fill a sweet tooth. Not so healthy, it it's a cruise. Who cares!!

You will find a drink station on deck 9 aft. near the Mickey pool. There you can get all the free soda, milk, tea, coffee and water you want. Many people fill containers and take them to the room. You will have a fridge/cooler in the room. Also you can take drinks to the shows from the drink station. I suggest you bring your own tumbler, the cups they have are very small. If you go to the bar or you get them from the snack areas near the theater then you will have to pay for sodas. The snack bars on deck 9 do not have drinks, you have to get them at the soda station. There is no charge to eat at any of the snack bars or buffet on deck 9.

Also remember for that sweet tooth, you can order mickey bars and cookies along with other deserts from room service for free. Most of the room service items are free. I know of people that order sandwiches the morning of a port day to take to the beaches for a picnic. You may want to take some zip lock bags if you plan to do this or if you plan to take leftovers to your room.

I bought a pink feather boa to wear, though I don't have a tiara. If I see one before the cruise, I'll be buying it to wear. My husband doesn't realize this, so he'll be the one trying to pretend he doesn't know me when we walk in.

However, his local scuba shop owner told him to go see Pete at Sunset House or do a Devils Grotto dive through Eden Rock Dive Center rather than doing it through the cruiseline but he needs a buddy or group. Are there any other divers who are interested in going out with him?
