September 29, 2012 - Ropin' Some Magic in the Western Caribbean

does anyone know the show schedule? I want to make sure I don't miss anything

It's hard to figure out the schedule because we are only the second cruise out of Galveston. I read somewhere (though I can't recall where now) that Formal night and Golden Mickeys is Sunday, Semiformal night is Thursday. Pirate night is supposed to be Tuesday when we leave Grand Cayman. Hopefully someone else will have more info.

This is what I've read too, but you never know since they've just started sailing out of galveston.

The stress begins..... Packed up all our FE gifts in a plastic tote and moved it to the second floor. Taking cruise documents and passports with me and hoping for the best. Looks like Isaac may choose the anniversary of Katrina to pay us a visit. All prayers appreciated during this stressful time! We are outside of the levee protection system which is why it is believed that we will be under a mandatory evacuation order very soon. I am so going to NEED this cruise!

Tuesday, I am praying that you and all the people in Isaac's path stay safe and dry.

Prayers sent your way.

Mother Nature is absolutely amazing! This photo from The Keys.

Praying Isaac fizzels in the gulf and stays away from you. :grouphug:

I hope you keep safe and that Isaac stays away or at least doesn't do much damage. My friends in FL were expecting worse but say it wasn't bad over there so I am hoping it's the same for you!!

Aw shucks..... you all just made me cry. (ok-maybe the stress has something to do with the tears) Thank You for the well wishes and prayers. The mandatory order came at 6pm. The house is boarded up, school books all packed, instruments and scrapbooks ready to go. We will load up tomorrow and head to central Louisiana with family. I will keep you all updated as things happen. My dad is the Public Works Director for our Parish so we will have to leave him behind, but he's here to keep watch over the houses. Packing up my mom, grandma, and handicap uncle in the morning to caravan out with us. The hardest part for me is driving out of the driveway wondering if it is the last time we'll see it. We are off for our hurrication as it is called here and we really do appreciate the prayers! :disrocks:

Praying for your family!!! For peace of mind, because if you have that, you can deal with whatever comes your way. Drive safe!

Praying for you and your family. I grew up in S Texas and have been through a few of them myself. We didn't leave town though and those storms are very scarey; especially when you are a child.

Oh my...only 33 days! We have all our excursions set up, but I haven't even begun our fish extender or gifts. I feel so behind everyone else. I have to start this week. I know what I'm doing for the FE...gifts...not sure yet.

I will be ready by the time we leave for Galveston! :woohoo:

Okay, I went through my closet and think I have found enough clothes for dinner. I do have a question though...do people dress like a pirate for dinner on pirate night or do you change afterwards?pirate:

I saw a question similar to this on the regular forums and people said about half the people dress up... and you get bandanas/eyepatches at dinner too...from that thread it made it seem as tho you dress up for dinner as well. I could be wrong tho!

We always have late seating, so I suppose it could be different for the early diners, but people usually are dressed up at dinner. They have Shutters photographers come around and take pictures during dinner. There are also special photo ops before dinner in the atrium: Pirate Stitch, Captain Jack, and other characters if I remember correctly. We aren't dress up types, but my son always has a pirate tshirt and he wears it to dinner.

I went through my closet too, and now I have to go to the dry cleaner to make sure everything is in tiptop shape. :) Glad I'm not the only one who is starting to think about outfits.

Disney gives bandanas, but no eye patches ( at least on ours) . People do dress up for the entire evening including dinner. We just wear pirate shirts and I bling out with pirate jewelry. Some people wear entire costumes.
