September 29, 2007 - Magic

Goody bag stuff to the 2nd meet sounds good to me! We (mom, dad, sis, bil and me) would be in for a group brunch table. Niece and nephew would just have to hang out at the lab for a few hours.

Does anyone know if there is a limit to the amount of people they will let you book?

ZA - Good question...I know a whole bunch of DISers were in the private room dining when DH and I are were in Palo one evening for our dinner. I would guess there were about 15. I have no idea how they booked it, but I could ask on their thread (it's still alive...15 months after the cruise!). I didn't talk much on that thread, occasionally, they're a very nice group, but I feel more connected to this group somehow. :grouphug: I can find out if no one is able to find the answer.

Jac - So sorry about your foot. :flower3: Take good care, you'll be needing that foot in 74 days! (like you didn't need it now, right?!)

I also am curious about the butterfly farm, anyone? Any ideas for a fun morning excursion on St. Maartin?

:surfweb: Hi,
If there are two adults in your party there is your limit, the reseee's go 1-2 3-4, the room will hold 12 with a max of 14....
That is the only place you get a table above 4, there are 9 adults in my group and I was assured they do not push tables together (just like no shorts).. nothing is saying that they can't put you in a group at diffrent tables...
You cold try abd ask anything.
For those of you who remember my piratepirate: picture I have knickers on for pants (NOT SHORTS) I was told to please wear long pants as the knickers were not good enough..Palo's pushes the rules Dress wise so I don't thing they will change other rules but again, you can try.. They also might let you squeez in at a booth,...

 Hi everyone. Wow, I leave for one day and I miss 6 pages!! I love this group! GG, I was wondering if you would still be able to make a door sign for us? I am very computer illiterate! Mike's DGM will also be joining us her name is Nancy. And count me in for pirate telescopes rather than glow sticks. Ok caught up on that stuuf.

I'm so sorry to here about your ankle JD. :wizard: Get well fast so you can enjoy your cruise.

Our cruise plans are:
Palo brunch day 6
CC-bannana boat and stingrays
St. Marten-Maho beach and Orient beach
St. Thomas- Coral World and Coki beach

I'm not sure what else yet we are playing it by ear. I would love to do the Snuba but my DD's are too little.

Have a good night everyone!

Shannon

You got that right. With my "hopefully future son-in-law" Mike onboard nothing that happens on the Disney Cruise will stay there. He will post secrets along with pictures to back them up!:scared1:

Yes he will! That guy is such a pain! I don't know how you and shannon put up with all of his shananogins!!! :rolleyes1 .

Jac - I hope you're feeling better!!

Re: Palo brunch, wouldn't all our reservations need to be linked together?

Our dinner is the last night (Jan - we love fluffy foods <sniffle> although I don't want any hovering, privacy please) b/c no way was I missing pirate night or dumping Fallon off at the nursery the very first night. I bet that'll be our DIS meet #1 -on line for Palo ressies. :rotfl:

Btw- I finally saw the Virgins to Neverland poster, LOVE IT!!

OK, back to work!

I think that would be awsome if you guys could get the room for Palo brunch. We will have to pass though since we decided we were going to do Palo's for dinner.

I found this great design on the creative disign board and I am going to try to make it in to stickers to put in the goody bag.

Very Cute. Those will make cute stickers. :yay:

I thought I posted this already but I guess not...

I love what everyone is doing for the goody bags. That is so sweet! Hopefully there will be an extra one for my 13 yo because he loves that kind of stuff.

If there is anything that hasn't been offered for them, please let me know - I would love to contribute but I have no clue what. I would also be available to help fill them - I have lots of experience packing goody bags!

I have a couple big rolls of curling ribbon I could bring to tie them with if we need that...just let me know!

There should be extra bags becuase we are doing 48-50 and last I counted we have about 36 12 and under. If you would like to contribute you can check the first page to see what everyone is bringing. I have not decided 100%, I have found several things on oriental trading and I am just waiting to make sure I don't duplicate. I guess I need to decide soon though because we only have 74 days  The ribbon would be great, I never thought about something to tie them with.

I figure at the first meet we can decide who, when, where, etc to meet to make the bags. I wish I had the Walt or Roy suite and I could have a bag making party, should be plenty of room in there to spread everything out..ahhh i can dream can't I :cloud9: We need a system where we can get messages to each other in case anyone misses the 1st meet or if we decide to plan anything else. Any ideas? Can we leave each other voice mails on the stateroom phones?

Darn it. I called to order the telescopes and they are out! They said they will probably get them again it September but that will be too late. Oh well time to find something else.

That's a good idea, I think I'm in 7072?!

Btw- don't know who found the Oriental Trading site but what a great find. I'm definitely bookmarking it! Now I just need to go through it and pick something. :cheer2:

SORRY ABOUT YOUR FOOT!! I hope it is better soon.

I am trying to stay caught up on 8 threads. Hardly ever read any others. On one of them--this one maybe?--someone said she wanted Palo the last night as a romantic ending for a lovely week. I though that sounded sweet. But, if you don't want Friday night, then you don't want Friday night.

I am here to tell you all that you are not competing with me for Palo. I have not booked Palo and will not book Palo. We ate there once and it was too fuffy for my tastes. The waiter hovered. I said I did not want the chocolate souffle or any dessert and he brought one anyway, cut it open on my plate and then was surprised I did not eat it. He was almost indignant, after all, he had gone to all the trouble! I reminded him that I did not want or ask for it.
DH tipped well, but I would not have.

 Give me the diningrooms any day!

Jan :earsgirl:

Hey Jan, I thought that I was the only one on the DIS who wasn't wowed by Palo. Not all Palo's fault, I just never seem to have good luck there. One time for dinner I was just not hungry so it was a real waste. Another time for brunch I was sick with a fever and sinus infection and last time we tried brunch it was so darn hot in there I had sweat running down me. It was so uncomfortable that it ruined the experience. I figure that we will have plenty of time to try brunch on the WBPC repo. I am not even interested in dinner. IMO the dining rooms are just as good. And if you go to Palo you miss out on the themed dinner for the evening. (Unless you do both like grumpy-gramps did:woohoo: ) Our waiter also brought us a chocolate souffle that we didn't order. One bite was enough for both DH and me. We thought it was awful and I am a chocolate lover.

So for those of you who don't get Palo ressies all is not lost. You will have a great time in the dining rooms!:thumbsup2

:lmao: Hi Rags,
Someone had to keep you and Harry awake! It also showed my daughter and I know not to leave our fellow passangers all alone when it comes to being good table matesand company ..:thumbsup2
I don't care what anyone says I have my ressies for Palo's, brunch and dinner.
The Phillie menues are the best, I have it for brunch and dinner, any piece of steak that I can cut with the side of my fork is well worth the extra time and effort..
Rags, Remember the last night?? (at dinner) My beef tenderloin was just like a hockey puck and hard as a rock due to not being cooked right, you never have that problem at Palo's the choclate schuffle (I know I spelled it funny) I can live without but the beef and taters are great like good popcorn:: it melts in your mouth....
Sunday at 10:45 I will have finished my sausage pizza, (the breakfast part of my brunch ) and will order the phillie menuie for lunch. pirate:

there are 2 people listed for bouncy balls? was one the beach balls? or the neon bouncy ones?

I think I'm going to take a look first for something Disney princess: :wizard: and if I don't find something cute then I'll get something pirate-like pirate:

mcraft, I LOVE those designs!!! :thumbsup2 They will make super stickers.

Grumpygramps, I don't think I ever got around to requesting a door sign. Are you still making them? If so, just let me know what information you need.

I'm going to go check the first post, but I think I'll bring glow sticks that the kids can make bracelets or necklaces out of. Should be good for the pirate party or whenever they like.
