Congrats on getting your Passports!! That is very exciting news. We applied for DH and DD's 2 weeks ago and DH said the checks cleared his bank a few days ago. I'm still waiting until August before I start searching the mailbox for them!!!

Can't wait to book Palo!!!!

It was 11 weeks for us on Friday and still no sign of ours...i'll be happy if i get mine in August... I heard something on the news about giving people paperwork that will just verify that they have a passport in process and that it wll have a phone number and ref# for border officals to call and confirm...

I received a packet from DCL regarding our cruise. It showed July 1, 2007 as the date I could start making reservations (Palo and excursions) if payment was received in full. It then said that our final payment wasn't due until July 16, 2007.

Does final payment have to be applied prior to July 1, 2007 for reservations and if so, why is the final payment scheduled to be due two weeks after the fact?

Mine said that as well, which confused me because we booked through Dreamsunlimited and the final payment is due June 16th not July 16th. But July 1st is the date you can make reservations if you are a Castaway Club member. So you might want to check with whomever you made your reservations with and make sure the date of the final payment. Also you must be paid in full before you can make reservations. Hope that helps.

Thank you! It was actually my best birthday yet! The fun part is our birthday's are in this order, DS, DH, me and then DD. DD's b-day is about a week after the cruise so you know what this means? Before another family member in this house has a b-day, we set sail on the Magic!!

Our travel agent Dana called today to tell me final payment should be in no later than July 1st. That was a hard pill to swallow-this is the tough part, but so well worth it! We are in a Cat.7 and booked onboard back in May of 2006 and we are still coughing up over 2 grand! Ouch!

Oh well, my motto is "you only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough!"

Sorry to hear about your payments in full coming up... I just am so shocked at the prices for cruises, it's incredible...

I used my DVC points for this one, as a treat since we recently added on at Saratoga Springs and got points from last year to use... I figured, what the heck!!!

Happy Birthday JD ! It's my dd's birthday today as well ! I have another dd who will have a b-day at the end of this month and I just had mine a couple weeks ago.

My dh will have a birthday on the last night of our cruise and I requested they sing "happy birthday" to him on our last dinner. Actually Disney picked up on the fact it was his birthday and they asked me if I wanted to do anything special for him.

Wow! It's been a while....

aaaawww, so the topic is about $$$ huh? i think our final payment is coming up due also. do you have to pay it in full in order to make reservations for palo, etc?

we still haven't decided what excursions to take yet... but for SURE my DH wants to do parasailing in CC.

P.S. haven't seen POTC yet.. DD is scared my DH is hoping to see it when we're on the ship.

Yes, you need to be paid in full to make any reservations including excursions. We paid it off today! And bought our plane tickets since we were able to get them for $403 for the three of us. We were going to drive but with that price we decided to scrounge around some $ and fly. Saves us a two day trip there and back!! YEAH!!

Question though for those who do have theirs paid off what does the Disney Website say when you have paid it? Mine still says booked but not sure what it said before.

Mike constantly teases me because I don't like to be seen in my pajamas. Bet he would be suprised to know that I actually went to pajama bingo in pj's on our last two cruises. Hey, I'll do anything (almost) for a free bingo card. Yep, I wore the comfy green ones last time.

Oh well, it's late, the Cavs are loosing, I'm getting in my jammies and heading to bed. Nite nite!

Yep, last two DCL cruises we were on had pajama bingo. You were not required to wear PJ's but got an extra bingo card if you did. I just realized that I was wearing DIS lime green.

Just to be clear, that last post under Shannon's screen name was written by her DBF. He is a riot. Shannon finally found a keeper. Too bad he can't join us on our cruise.
