Oh my, looks like I've scared everyone away with what Shannon calls my "totally blonde moment". Believe me, you don't have to live in Phoenix in the summer to have a fried brain. I have raised teenagers...that will do it! At least I haven't turned into a serial killer! Come on people, talk to me or I will just have to keep replying to myself. Yes, I do talk to myself. It's that fried brain thing.

Ahh, cruise therapy. Sounds good to me. I always say that cruising is my therapy. It is a lot cheaper than a shrink and a whole lot more fun!

Hope I can remain sane until my next "therapy session" in May.

Hi we are so excited first really big family vaction ever....(we have 2 boys 10 & 11) Would love to meet some other familys...(all of ours are to scared to take the 2 hour fight to orlando...lol)..

That is not sad at all....what is sad is that i' am sitting here on the floor with my computer because DH is putting together my new desk..and i just can't log off since booking our trip last week...i think i need help....

I will definitely attend a DIS meet!! My poor family has been warned. My son will be 13 when we sail and I'm so happy to see there will be boys there close to his age. When we booked, I was most worried he'd feel out of place being older than his 3 year old sister - who has done nothing but talk about going on the "Mickey Mouse boat".

It happens to all of us. Don't worry. You'll be able to join your normal life in about a month. I imagine it'll get worse come August!! I'll probably be on here 4 hours a night come August!

My DH thinks I am nuts because I am always checking the DIS boards. He doesn't get really excited till we are less than a month away from the cruise. I am excited the moment we book. I think I might have a convert, my friend is thinking about joining us for her first cruise. If she does it will be her, her dd 12 and ds 10. So cruise excitement can be catching!!

It took me awhile to figure out how to quote as well so don't feel bad!

I was thinking of doing a "count down to the cruise" calender to try to get the fellas involved more....they never talk about it unless i bring it up, may be they don't believe it's real yet (i do...the proof was on my bank statement.....LOL) o'well its the price of living in a house of boys.....i really wish i could go to tea with wendy though...but my youngest even drew the line at that...to quote him "you know mom we are giving up two football games to go on this cruise".....BOYS never get thier priorities right....

I may be joining you all on this cruise. I am considering switching from the DVC member cruise to this one. I am calling member services in the morning to decide. Just wanted to check this thread out and see if there were any kids DS(6) age. Looks like there will be quite a few kids which is good. Hopefully I will see you all in about 6 months!!

My DH doesn't get excited, either. He smiles and nods when I get all goofy about the cruise and the things I've read. But I know, from experience, that the morning we wake up and he sees that big boat - he'll be all smiles and excited. Men.

Don't let the boys stop you from going to tea with Wendy. I don't know what that is but it sounds like something my daughter and I will want to do! If you want to go to tea with Wendy, you should.

The two boys (DH and DS) in my house never mention the cruise unless I do or my daughter. (My DH is actually sitting behind me now mocking me, "Is that your Disney board? I can't wait, 7 months, 14 days, 10 hours." He teases now but we'll see who's teasing when he grabs that first frozen drink and realizes he's on vacation for a whole week!!!) Excitement is contagious so just live it up and maybe they'll join in. Or maybe not. But at least you'll have fun!

I'm sure there will be plenty of kids. There's already plenty of them with this group. I know for us, it's Fall Break for my son so that's why we chose this week. But I was worried he'd be the only 13 year old there because I don't know too many people that get a 2 week fall break in junior high/elementary school!
