September 29, 2007 - Magic

I got on at 2:45 and got all I wanted. So far we are doing:
Mon. High tea
Tues. Under Two Flags Tour
Thur. Palo Dinner

We are not ones for brunch so we skipped that one. There was still quite a bit of availability so hopefully those at the 75 mark you will get what you want. Although there were less brunch times than dinner left.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

I double checked the January Navigator's and the Castaway Clubhouse event is Monday from 11-noon. We will miss it because of Palo brunch but I am OK with that.

Our Plans:
Monday: Palo Brunch 10:30
Tuesday: French Riviera Beach Rendezvous
Wednesday: Coral World Marine Park by Land and Sea
Friday: Castaway Cay Island Cruise

Hi Valerie!

What time is your CC Island Cruise? I went ahead and booked it for 1:15pm, that's all they showed available. I just wondered if when you booked yours if you saw any time later than that? If so, I may look for a cancellation. I wanted the Seahorse Snorkel Cruise but they only had 9:00am, a bit too early for all of us. CC water always seems freezing to me before noon! :cold:

I was on about an hour ago and got a brunch on Monday. Guess I miss the CC reception. I can live with that. You early birds got everything on Sunday before noon. Also was able to sign up for the St John Eco tour. The DW is almost starting to count down the hours.

We are heading down on Thursday from the Atlanta area and do two days in the parks before the cruise.

As for flights, I am glad I am not flying on this trip. I fly 3-4 times a week and am getting sick of packed airplanes, packed security lines, tourists, no parking, tourists, delayed flights, tourists, canceled flights, and tourists. Ack! the life of traveling for a living.

Chuck

We're driving in on the 24th to meet up with pahrumpgirl and her DH for a few days in the parks. DH and I are staying at FW cabins and pahrumpgirl is in OKW.

We're doing dinner at the RainForest cafe in DTD if anyone cares to join us. We'd enjoy meeting our fellow cruisers early!

Sorry, I meant Veronica! I am working on about 2 1/2 hours sleep! :faint:

No problem with my name. I pretty much respond to all V names. ;) 1:15 was the only time showing availability for me as well but I did not get on until 6:00 am this morning. I, too, was hoping for a bit later so we wouldn't feel rushed to eat lunch. In the end, 1:15 is probably best for us because my DD will probably need a nap by that point. That will be the last full day of a two week vacation and I am sure she will be beat.

Your plans look great. I would be interested to hear your review on the butterfly farm. I almost booked it but I hesitated because we have been to The Butterfly Palace in Branson twice and I was afraid it might be a bit similar.

Hey fellow cruisers!!

I just wanted to say hello to everyone - I haven't posted on this thread in a while. I am jealous of all of you who get to book your reservations now! We are newbies so we have to wait. :worried: But it looks like our ship is not filling up. I keep checking availability and all categories (incl 12) are still available so I hope there will be openings still for the things I want to book. If not I will be the one racing around after we board to get those ressies in! :lmao:

If not who wants to invite me to their Palo brunch? ;) ;)

Oh, I also wanted to add that we are dragging along my 17-year-old son with us. He originally did NOT want to come, so I was going to leave him home, but changed my mind since most of my husband's family is coming on this trip, and I think it will be good for him to spend time with his little cousins. He loves to cruise but he is in that age group where he thinks the "teen" stuff will be lame but he is not old enough to do the adult stuff.

Anyone else bringing along teenagers? They are so much fun, aren't they?

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Wow JLSE, While I Appriciate your enthusiasm and well thought out Schedule and suggestions,:thumbsup2 I don't think its going to happen on THIS Cruise. I Think it would be a very good Idea to do it on A Cruise, So far, just in a weeks worth the ideas, we planed the whole thing. If we do it on a cruise, we will let everyone know which cruise it will be. On this one, we are going to have a "Pre-Engagement" Party with PJ's on at a bar!!!:cool1:

We're Still not engaged yet.

Talk to Yall Soon!!

-Mike

PS Rags, The Dishes are done AND the laundry's folded. FYI

Pre-Engagement party with PJ's at the bar? This is sounding like it's turning more in to a Carnival or RC cruise!!! :lmao:

My DS just turned 13 in March and he may have it marked as his proudest accomplishment. He's working on his 2nd proudest accomplishment, being taller than his 5.6 mother! Any way, he's worried about the cruise and being "bored" ("bored" is his new favorite word-starting to wonder if it's slang for something other than we think it means!). I have shown him the stuff about teens and then he points out he'll be the youngest teen and older teens don't like to hang out with young teens. (How soon we forget this stuff! :snooty: :snooty:) DS has been my biggest worry about this cruise because I want him to have a great time. But I have a feeling he will. I think they all will. And if they don't, they can walk the plank! pirate:

Good Morning all......
I was working last night until 3 am. Just woke up and just now checking out the DCL site to start the booking.

Just wanted to say......
Welcome MinGirl  Glad to have you aboard !

Moosymom....so sorry to hear you have health problems and need to cancel our 7 night. I hope everything comes together for you and you have a really nice time on the 3 night in Oct. :flower3:

Hi Beck'smom.....
Just let your 17 yo son know I'm bringing my now 15 and 17 yo's daughters. Only difference ? I'm not dragging them....they are loving this and cannot wait. I think it's a girl thing vs a boy thing though. Because my 20 yo son has no desire anymore to do any wdw or disney cruises with us (he's felt this way since he was 18/19). Hoping he'll change his mind once he comes to his senses......:rotfl:

Ok....back to booking now........

Just writing to say HI to everyone from Jade and Savannah, Were all less than 3 months away!!!!!

See you all Soon!!!!

Indianapolis? Did you have a good time in MY CITY? (Listen to me--I have only lived here 2 1/2 years and I claim it as mine.)
Jan :earsgirl:

PS: glad you got the airplane situation fixed. Sorry you had to pay so much extra.

Well we expected 90 degree weather with 90 percent humitity. But we got rain. We only brought shorts and t-shirts, but we didn't melt.

We went to the children's museum and it was nice. Was hoping to go to the Connor Praire Museum but couldn't due to the rain.

We had expected 90 degree weather for our Family Party to honor the recent marriage of our son. Wedding was a small affair in NY so we had a reception a month later here and invited our far-flung families. We thought everyone would melt. Instead it was medium temp, some rain and quite tolerable.

I have only seen the gift shop and meeting rooms at Connor Prairie. I hear it is very nice though. Maybe on another trip??

Did you come only for the museums? I hope your accommodations were good.

Hello All,

Any suggestions on where to stay in Port/Cape Caneveral? Thanks for any help:goodvibes

We're staying at the Country Inn & Suites. Have read decent stuff about them. Read something bad about their shuttle to/from the port but am hoping they work those kinks out in the next 3 months! :hippie:

Thanks GG and JD

We finally got our flight changed to Friday so i've been on all evening looking at hotels and rental cars, my head is spinning :rotfl:
