Being EXTREMELY new to this forum, I don't know what most of the acronyms are! But I would love to meet up with other Disney people (I've heard other terms for us, most of which were not very flattering: Disneyoids, Disney-ites, etc). Little about myself: in DVC since 1997, kids grown (youngest is 20), divorced, former Cast Member from local stores (5 1/2 years!), going from this cruise to SSR then OKW (one night each place), and I CAN'T WAIT!!! First time by myself though - a little anxious about that.

Wow, just took about 30 minutes to read thru this thread - seems like I know some of you already! Looks like this is a friendly group, really looking forward to this trip! Are some of you still meeting at the Mickey pool around 1? And did you decide on your wrist bands? I know I'm jumping in kinda late, but I didn't even know this site existed until about a week ago.

We have not heard from Fallon in a few days and she was the one working on the wrist bands. I think the meeting place is still the Mickey pool at 1 unless that has changed.

All our passports finally came so I am starting to get really excited about this trip! I am already wishing it were a longer cruise!

Welcome aboard Mickey4diane. Glad to see you will be sailing with us.

O.K., the wrist bands have been ordered and as far as I know, we will still be meeting at the Mickey Pool at 1:00. I hope to be there (at the port) as early as the bus can get us there but If DH and I are a little late don't worry. We "WILL" be there. I'll be the crazy lady standing around with lime green wristbands hanging off all my extremities including my ears.

WoW!!!! I can't believe that we are almost there!!!

Fallon - Thanks again for ordering the wrist bands!

I just ordered some TSA locks from ebay as well as two Dry Pack wallets for DH and I to use at Atlantis and on Castaway Cay! I completed all our paperwork and printed out our contact. DH still needs to sign it but he is camping with the kids. This is finally starting to seem real!!!

Not a problem (the wristbands) momsully. In fact, ordering them just made this cruise more real for me.

What are "Dry Pack Wallets"?? How much were the TSA locks on Ebay?

The Dry Pak wallet can be worn around your neck with your KTTW card, ID, money etc. They make bigger ones that hold cameras and stuff but I thought this would be great for the trip. Here is the link to the ones I just bought.

I was able to buy four TSA locks with the Search Alert feature which shows if the lock was opened for $28.

I am exhausted from our weekend. I hate when that happens.

We went to Maine and no sooner had we gotten there than it became obvious my son was pretty sick, we stayed the night, but it was an awful night with him wheezing and hacking up a lung. We left the minute we woke up to come back home. He's home again today - he sounds awful.

Wish we would have had a clue about it on Saturday morning - we could have relaxed and made him rest.

Summer colds stink!

Thanks for the "thanks" everyone. I really am enjoying getting ready for this cruise and I think our lime green wristbands will just keep the memories fresh when we return.

Okay, fellow cruisers! I"m really getting psyched for this cruise! Everytime I start feeling stressed at work, I picture myself at the 'adult' beach on Castaway Cay, basking in the sun...Can I have another froo-froo drink, please? Let's keep this thread on page one - it gets me Disney dreaming when I see a new post!

Unlike some of you, I am going to WDW AFTER the cruise. I've been making lists: where to eat, what to ride, what to see...Has anyone done Soarin'? I rode it at DCA last December, and had a blast!

Soaring is my new favorite ride! You should hear me on the phone with people when talking about it - I feel like people are going to say to me, "get a grip, Lady!" because I am fawning all over it so much.

I ate at San Angel Inn for the first time in February and really liked it. I loved the atmosphere. The Maragritas were killer too!

This has just been a horrific sickies week for us. One of our two kids have been out of school sick for each of the past four days. I am finally sitting down to a decent day of work hopefully.

It's been fun, though, being home with them. My son and I checked out a new wing place in the city one day, and then yesterday we all hung around and played at the house.

As a former CM, I still have 6 comp tickets left - they all expire either this December or this coming February. So I'll be using them and sharing some with a friend who's meeting me after the cruise. One of the benefits I'll miss not working at TDS -

For those of you just returning from cruises, is the "new" straw market within walking distance of where our ship docks in Nassau? Last time I was there, the marketplace was in a temporary location while they worked on a new one, but I really didn't see any signs of construction. I"m hoping to do some Christmas shopping!

Hi eveyone! I was in CA this week on business so just finally getting a chance to get back to the DIS.

Castlegazer - I hope everyone at home is finally healthy! Thanks for the info on the package. We are DVC members and only are staying for a few extra nights but it is always good to know about any deals.

mickey4diane - We love Soarin. We got to ride at the CM preview last year. It is one of our favorite rides but a must to fast pass as the wait gets pretty long!

Fallon - Cool that the wristbands shipped! DS4 is excited for his. DS7 doesn't really understand why I am wearing wristbands to match people I only know from the internet!
