Had to be in Orlando for work, so since I had an extra day remaining on a Park Hopper, I stayed an extra day and went to DW!
It was great! There were virtually no lines anywhere! Having been there a number of times before, when you're able to walk into Pinnochio's Village Haus for lunch right at noon and not have to wait in line, it's a good day. Peter Pan always has a big line in the afternoon, but there wasn't anything close to that size today.
I got to the MK at opening and was able to do Peter Pan, Philharmagic, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, Buzz, Astro Orbiter, the 3 Mountains, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates by noon - some of them twice! No line at all for Splash Mountain.
Totally amazed at this, I hopped on the Monorail and went to EPCOT. I hit Mission Space, Test Track, and walked around the World Showcase very quickly.
I then went to MGM. You know it's a light day when you can walk right on the TOT at 2:00. I did that, Rock-n-Roller Coaster, the Great Movie ride, Backlot Tour, and the Start Tours.
After that I went to check out the Wilderness Lodge a little, and then went back to MK, stopped at Casey's, hit a few more rides, and watched Wishes from the Tomorrowland bridge. While I thought the view was pretty good, it was hard to understand the voices that are part of the show.
Pretty exhausted at the end of the day, but very happy! Temps were nice and crowds were unlike anything I've seen. Hope our next family vacation works out the same!
