September 22-25, 2011 Disney Dream Cruise

Hello everyone. Can you guys believe we cruise in two weeks. Yay! I just wanted to let everyone know that we have a room number now. Long story short,this was originally an adult trip,then a family trip,then adult, now family again.Dh and I felt really bad about leaving them. We usually don't mind but I just cant imagine getting on the Dream for the first time without them. We were able to add them back too our ressie last week for a much cheaper cost than when we originally added them. Anyway our room wasnt listed on the FE list because we wer going to try and upgrade at the port but not anymore. We are in 7677. I cant wait to meet you guys!

Also please know that we dont expect any FE gifts for the kids. I've had my gifts planned for months and any changes this late would completly throw me off .

Quick Question regarding the FE. We are less than 2 weeks away and the wife is having so much fun planning.

Regarding the list, is it do we deliver gifts on a per Cabin (1 or 2) or per passengers (however many in the party)? We will definitely have enough for all the kids, Just don't want anyone to be left out.

We have not told our kids yet so they will be super excited.

The 25th is actually my youngest one's birthday.

I know it's the last day and we will be departing the ship and driving home. Does DCL do anything special for kids for their birthday? Not looking to plan anything huge but just general recognition would be nice so he doesn't feel like he spent his bday driving for 8 hours.

The 25th is also my birthday! We are actually spending a day at the Beachclub. I really wanted to do something on my birthday. Our FE gifts are for each state room but there is a little bit of something for everyone in there.

Wow!!! the 25th is also my son's 13th birthday.. When we leave the Dream, we are driving to OKW for the week. We are also going to have dinner at Whispering Canyon because we figured we wouldn't have anything to eat on the ship.

That's really up to you! I made two things - one is per cabin and the other is a small per person gift. One of my sisters did the same, one thing for the cabin and one for each person. I think my other sister and her friend are doing a per cabin gift.

We are doing one gift for the cabin and then goodies for the kiddos. But, as everyone has said, it's really an individual choice as to how you give. There's no right or wrong way.

Ok, so we had originally decided to splurge and give a Cabana a try. But, we decided that a verandah for 3 nights was more inticing than a cabana for a day. So, we cancelled cabana #4 for our cruise. Just in case anyone is interested in a cabana, now's the time to go reserve it!!

I am SO glad that it worked out for you guys!! We thought about seeing if anyone wanted to share the cabana with us, but ultimately decided to just let someone else enjoy it!! We're going to try for one on our Fantasy cruise in 2012.

Thanks for the link. I just went to it and the Dream is there now! She is a beautiful ship. After tomorrow, I can officially say that I'm going on a Disney cruise next week.

Ok, I'm officially starting to get excited!! I decided to make my family "matching" embroidered shirts today. So far, I've only finished my youngest DDs shirt. We all picked different colors for our shirts (black, red, yellow & blue), but they'll all have the same embroidery design. So, you'll know how to find us on that first day!!
