Wow! This is our first Disney Cruise and my first time finding this forum! I am overwhelmed!! I guess I should have been researching a year ago!

Welcome aboard!

The first year my family and I cruised on the Disney Magic, we too didn't know about these boards. On our second cruise, I found these boards and met a wonderful group of people that we had the time of our life with. There are quite a few that I am still touch with today and some that are on this cruise with us as well. I can't wait to meet everyone on this board too. We are all going to have an amazing cruise.

I know they will be here soon..... I feel bad for my mailman, I think he is going to ask for a new route lol.

I have another Oceanear question.
In the navigators it has meal times blocked out (lunch & dinner). Does that mean all other activities & free play are stopped until after meal services is over? Or just that they're serving a meal then?

If she can't play while others are eating we'd have to come get her during those times or bring her medication if she wanted to eat. She can't eat anything (containing fat or protein) without taking enzymes.

And if she chose to eat would it be a problem if she took longer than the 1 hour they have blocked out? Anyone else have experience with slow eaters in the clubs? My daughter is notoriously slow eater or too busy to eat all at once. A huge work in progress for us.

They are just creating a very SPECIAL set of documents for you, Bob! That is why it is taking so long.

The last time my kids were in the club for mealtime things were done a little differently. They took the kids out of the clubs to eat at Topsiders/BBB (this was on the Classic ships) Now as I understand it, the kids do not leave the club area to eat.

Sorry I don't have better knowledge about it. This would be a great question for the main board if no one else chimes in here.

Again-another great question. I know back when they left the club they did have to finish eating by the time the mealitime ended- as they would transition out back to the club or to the other areas they were going to.

I would love to know as well how eating in the club goes. We will have an evening where we will be either feeding the kids ourselves from the counter service locations on the pool deck, or letting them (Sarah in particular) eat in the club.

And a little tip for the first time cruisers: The counter service locations on the pool deck (Flo's V8 cafe etc.) do close as the first dinner seating approaches nightly. The reason for this is the employees that staff it are servers that need to go to their dining rooms for the dinner shift. Be sure to watch the operating times in the Navigator- because if you are trying to run around and get your child some food at - say - 6PM before you go to Palo- you will find it very difficult to get something to eat anywhere but in the dining rooms at that time. We dealt with it on our first cruise and we ended up having to send the kids to the clubs without dinner (luckily - being that they were on a cruise and eating a lot they weren't hungry!) Just a FYI!

DH gives me the countdown each morning. Today was 25/27 - August 25 sailing in 27 days. Tomorrow is a great one 26/26. Gotta love him!!!!

Four weeks - Yikes - let the packing begin!!

We are getting closer. I stared packing a couple of months ago. I hope that i have everything. My list six pairs of shorts polo shirts tolieties light blanket and pillow for the plane camera and extra batery. memory cards i will be brining my lap top. two long formal dresses three sun dresses hope that my red and white poke a dot sun dress will work for palo bunch a blacket beaded dress for remy a pair of jeand and two pairs of kakie pants. underthings. Can't think of anything eles. watching an old Bob Hope movie. I so love my dish t.v. see ya real soon.
