This is going to be an amazing cruise, is it 2012 yet? ;)

Well, as much as I want to sail again with everyone, I honestly don't want 2011 to go by too quickly since I have two cruises this year - both Disney!

Scheduled for Alaska in August - well when I say scheduled, I really mean going since it's paid for and I think I paid almost as much for the darn airfare as I did for the cruise!! :rotfl:

And we have a four day Dream cruise with four days at WDW after in October. :woohoo:

So although I am looking forward to cruising once again with a great group, I won't get into full planning mode until November!

I'm also hoping to possibly get in one more cruise before this one - but it depends on a lot - (1) is the Magic going out of NY, (2) where and (3) just a little thing - $$$$!!!!! :thumbsup2

Still - it is exciting to see some familiar faces/names on the meet thread.

Okay, so I've submitted all of our info to our TA so that we can get this cruise booked! So excited!!!! We haven't picked out our cabin yet, probably do that tomorrow. However, we will be on Deck 2 somewhere.

Go ahead and add me to the Roll Call and the FE List :woohoo:

Kpadalik - Kristin (me), 33; George (DH), turning 34 on the cruise; Hannah (DD), 9; and Grace (DD) 5
Hometown: North Port, FL

We will also be cruising with my MIL and my SIL and her family. They are not on the DIS boards, but I think that they will want to participate in the FE as well. Once they have confirmed their booking, I can add them to the roll call and FE list.

What does everyone think about starting a Facebook group page for our sailing? That way we can get post pics of things, get to know each other, etc. I try to get on the boards daily, but I'm on FB several times a day. I would be glad to head that up and be the administrator of the group page. Let me know!!

I'm so excited to get to know everyone over the next year and a half and get started on my planning!!!!:cheer2:

Welcome! Glad to see we aren't the only Floridians in the group. :cool2: I'll add your family to the roll call. :goodvibes I'm not a FB person myself, but my wife (nenner1) is.

Ohkayyyyyy...we'll slow it down for ya! :lmao:

Wow that should be awesome! I didn't realize you were doing one of the Alaska cruises, can't wait to hear all about it!!!

Jealous! :smooth:

Yeah I am surprised we STILL haven't heard what is going on with the Magic. IMO they'd be silly not to let her try NYC. There is such a huge population of Disney cruisers from the northeast that I can't imagine sailings not being robust. But I guess we have to wait and see!

We have our Allure of the Seas cruise the same week this year (9/18) but I haven't let myself get excited yet because we still owe money on it. We have until June though so I can't imagine we won't get the remainder paid off, but our fallback option is the same week on Freedom of the Seas..which is a great ship but does not excite me anywhere near as much. LOL. ;)

Great, I have your family down for the FE and as soon as you know the info for your inlaws and your stateroom, just let me know!:goodvibes

FB group is a great idea! I created one for our last cruise and it was a great place to share pictures, etc. It would be awesome to have one for this cruise too! One little piece of advice I can share from having already done one, is if you can instead of making it an actual FB group, make it an actual "person" (does that make sense?). The reason is because posts to the group wall do not show up in the news feed (at least they don't in mine, IDK if that is a settings tweak or not!) so you actually have to check the group wall to see posts. :thumbsup2

sounds great, I'm way too excited for this far out! :rotfl2:

Okay, we got our cabin assignments today. My family will be in cabin 2522.
My MIL, Susan, will be in 2523. I don't think she wants me to post her age, but she's from Sarasota, FL. :cool1: I'll let you know about my SIL. I'm pretty sure that they will all want to do the FE, but I'll find out for sure. Oh and we have Main Dining and the 9pm show.

I see exactly what you are saying about the FB group vs actual person thing. I will go ahead and create a "person" for our cruise then. I will post it on here once I get it set up! I'm so excited!

Okay, so I was reading about creating a page on FB. I think I'm going to try and create the group. Apparently they've done some "reimagining" of their group pages/settings. If it doesn't seem to work out, then I can always change it before we start getting more people added to our roll call.

Okay, I have it set up. We'll see it how it is with live updates for now and if it doesn't work, I'll change it. Once you have joined the page, you have to click on the "edit settings" button on the top right of the group page. This will allow you to choose when and how to see posts on your live updates, receive emails, etc. If you search for September 22, 2012 Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean Cruise on FB, you should be able to find the group. I have it set up as a private group, so I will have to confirm your request to join. If there are any problems let me know.

I did have to change some of the settings as the admin of the group page to allow it to be in my live updates. Not sure if everyone will have to do that on an individual basis or not. I just sent a request to Join. I will show up as Lois. My Icon is a picture of two dogs. I am exceited to see how this works. Lois

For right now I will go ahead and put your inlaws on the list, if they decide they would rather not participate, no problem, just let me know! :)

I just sent my FB request picture is my hubby and I in St. Marteen

Got it Maureen and added you! Welcome!

This is so much fun! It's going to be so great getting to know everybody over the next 18 months. So does anybody have any ideas to throw out there for a group name for our cruise?

... So does anybody have any ideas to throw out there for a group name for our cruise?

That's a tough one. :confused3 I've been thinking about it and can't seem to come up with anything that I think is great. I do kind of like what Jen put on the graphic she made on post 1. "From Fantasyland to the Fantasy". I don't think she intended it to be our group's name, but it kind of works. :confused3 Any other ideas????

Ron
