Hey there....Just checking in. We've been out camping for the weekend...you know one last bash before the kids go back to school. School starts Tuesday around here Which....means we're getting that much closer to VACATION time

I'm trying to check my list to see what else we're needing to do... I've got the air booked Transfers set and Cruise booked...so I think I'm SET Oh....I did think of a possable snag earler today We've got to drive about 4 hours from our house to the air port...in our car....with ALL of our luggage Snag= we have 4 in our family...PLUS our neice. I started thinking of it Friday as we were heading up to the mountians...totally cram packed in the car with PART of our things...the kids were stuffed (and I mean STUFFED) with all of our things...along with the trunk being packed FULL.... After looking at all the things in the car for camping and the four of us...I quickly realized there is NO way that we'll be able to get US, our things and our neice and her things 4 hours away to the airport I guess....I've got a few weeks to get things worked out.

Did everyone get all the reservations they wanted? Palo, Spa, excursions??? I know it took me FOREVER to get the Palo thing in order. I think I already posted it...but I had the worst luck with the DCL site EACH time I tryed to book Palo. I also booked my DD for the Teen thing at CC...but when I went back through our 'cruise plans' that wasn't there So...I rebooked it...and again when I went back it was GONE So again I booked it again...This last time I got smart and printed off the confirmation page...so I have something to show ....SO did everyone get what they wanted??

Yeah the DCL site sometimes messes things up real nicely.

We also have a long trip to the airport, but it's only 3 hrs away.My favorite part is traveling thru California to get to Las Vagas. They always ask us if we have fruit or veggies with us. After 15+ years of that... I handed them a real Mr Potato Head. A real potato with a painted face. The lady was laughing so hard she let me keep it!

Anyway....
We do a night before in Las Vegas, so we leave on the 6th, and fly out on the 7th. Have a great dinner somewhere and cruise the Strip
We're renting a minivan... Dh just found out the kind we are getting, he thinks he'll look like a scoccer Mom Yeah... a scoccer Mom with a goatee

Okay everyone...I've got a favor to ask As you can see from my user name...I'm a scrapbooker ...Well...I've entered a scrapbook contest and now I need some VOTES So I'm wondering how many of you would like to register on the site and vote. Yep....you gotta register online, pick a user name then vote. It's actually just another fourm, not nearly as huge as the DIS...but a fourm all the same.

My Layout (picture) is the "F" one..."LIVE LIFE". It's a photo I took on our last Disney cruise in St. Martian.

I'm not sure...but once you register you have to wait a day or two to be approved before you can actually log on and vote or post....anyways I'm not sure that after you register and log on if it'll take you to the correct link...IF NOT...after you've registered and been approved you should be able to come back to the link I posted above and get there from that. If not...just ask.

OH...I almost forgot...voting ENDS this FRIDAY SO..ya gotta register soon to be approved in time to vote.

At least I think that is what they are. There are luggage tag thingies and an immigration arrival card for the Bahamas, and a travel booklet with a ticket and a cruise checklist. Guess we are going on a cruise!!!




There are eight luggage strip labels. Are four for taking luggage onto the ship and four for taking luggage from the ship? We are driving to Florida. Please don't tell me (specifically Penny) that we can take more than 4 bags aboard!

Congratulations Bob. There should be four tags. When you disembark there are tags dropped off in your room. The other four might be for your flight if you booked through disney. Mike

Well, four have both our names on them and four have just my name listed twice. The date and stateroom information is identical. Probably not important.

Things are great here... just HOT. I was hopiong for the tailend of Hurricane Dean to come thru and cool us off.. some rain and lower temps the 110 !
And we're starting to pack, since we leave in 9 days!
I can't wait to meet all of you.

YEA.....Cruise Doc. Well...not for me...but YEA for you

I noticed on our luggage things for the ME...for our time at WDW before the cruise had my name listed on ALL the tags along with either myself again...or someone else on the reservation...I just figured the two with my name twice were mine...while the others with my name and DH's or DD's name were just listed that way because the reservation is under my name. Either that...or they KNOW "I" pack ALOT and need more luggage tags for my things

Okay...I'm quoting myself. I just wanted to make sure everyone saw my plea for HELP. I looked at the poll tonight and I'm BEHIND by a few votes.... SO...I NEED everyone's help.

When I registered it took me about 24hrs to be okay and able to use the fourm...so if your planning on doing this for me...just keep in mind you ONLY have until Friday to vote...and you need to register ahead of time. My friend who's going on the cruise with us registered last night about 8pm..and was approved this evening....

Anyways.... Think about it.

The DISboards section on cruise check in has the following about finding the terminal.
Once you arrive at the port, finding the cruise terminals is easy. Signs along the highway clearly chart your course. Cruise Terminals 5 and 9/10 are located on the north side of the port and can be reached via SR 401. Cruise Terminals 2, 3 and 4 are on the south side near Jetty Park. Just turn left off SR 528 into Port Canaveral, then make a right turn onto George King Boulevard and follow the signs.
Are there signs similar to airports that will tell you which terminal you go to or will it just be obvious.
