I thinking next time private plane!!!!!

I have not done the Florida drive from IL yet. Although I know many do. My boss does every March and says during spring break all he sees are IL plates.

Tenn. seems to be the popular stop over.

Sue and Eva, remember to buckle up and drive defensively. Watch the construction zones as the fine is $500 for speeding there in Tennessee.

I should have known better than to wash the car yesterday. It came a heck of a rainstorm. That is the only bad thing about having a white car.

We haven't been on the magic since 10-2004. We didn't cruise in 2005, and last September we did the 11 night southern caribbean cruise on the wonder. The only time that we have been on the wonder since we started cruising with disney. I know once we board the magic, it will be like going home.

Do not forget that their are self service laundries onboard so that you do not have to pack as much as you think. I usually do any laundry late at night as they become crowded on sea days. Mike

So much going on here!

Karen, I hope you're having the time of your life with your family in Spain when you read this! You've got to hand it to Europeans and Canadians, they know how to vacation!:thumbsup2

:cheer2: :cheer2: Go Anthony! Go Peyton!:cheer2: :cheer2: You've got quite the little athletes Kathy!

We went to MNSSHP two years ago w/ AmericanScrapper's family and had the best time (even in the rain!) The kids had a ball, and getting up the next day was not an issue because we were so excited to board the ship! (I think I remember that falling asleep was difficult though!) Well worth the admission whenever you choose to go. We won't be going this year, I might be crazy enough to take a 9 month old on a cruise, but I don't think I would attempt WDW!

All these folks from IL! Although we're in NC now, I grew up in Schaumburg, a suburb of Chicago. Small world, eh?

Oh, almost forgot...

:welcome: to all of our new cruise friends!

Stacy

Barecuda: yeah, I think you will probably want to do laundry on a 3 week stint! LOL!!

Threesmiths, yeah the kids love being active. I actually sometimes wonder what I have started by signing them up for sports. With working fulltime, during the summer I am usually not home until around 10:00 pm at night every night!! But heck, I love watching them, so it is worth the lack of sleep & stress of getting them to & from places.

I am so looking forward to this cruise!! Just to relax by the pool with a Miami Vice in my hand!!! Ahhh!!!;)

Kathy

Kathy, don't go near the virgin bar while you are at the pool. The sight of large bellied men in spandex protecting the pregnant virgins may be too much without a large amount of alcohol :scared1: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Congratulations on the ball players. Both of our girls played softball, and the son played football.

If any of the newcomers would like to have the iron on design that Marsha did just contact her. Mike

Yup... Dh and I are doing 3 weeks. We had paid off our Med cruise( on May 26th), but we had a opportunity to do an art gallery opening. So we jumped at the chance.
Besides.. Europe is old and it will still be there.
We switched the days and had $$ left over... so we did 3 weeks.

Kathy... I just got off the lake from doing about 15 to 18 mile paddle. I was so hungry that I had to stop at Mc D's for a snack before ending up at Taco Bell for lunch at 10:30. Gosh... I hope your kids dont eat like that!:lmao:

Ann popcorn::

3 weeks. Awesome.

My wife says that is crazy but I would do it in a heartbeat. :woohoo:

Hit Dollar General today. First off I was upset that not everything in there is a dollar. Also did not find shoe racks or starter stuff to make fish extender which my DD is insisting we have.

Is everyone else finding this week of work going very SLOW?

Chris you need to go to dollar tree or deals to get the stuff that is a dollar. The material for the fish extenders can be gotten at walmart. If you make or have a fish extender, remember to bring a zip or cable tie as they are called to secure it to your fish so that it doesn't get stolen. Mike

Go Anthony and Peyton :cool1: :cool1:

I know in the past Anthony's teams have done very well...and from the sound of it there starting the season off with a big BANG;)

We started Sydney (dd9) in Tennis lessons yesterday. But about 20 min into the lesson she started to wobble about (sorta like she'd been hitting the Mojitos and Miami Vices to hard)...then suddenly she dropped her racquet and DOWN she went. She passed out:eek: Talk about a heart stopping moment. I don't think I've ran that fast for a LONG time. Sydney's been through so much with the surgeries and treatments but nothing like this. I hope we NEVER have to see her do that again. It was awful....I can't seem to get the image of her little body falling and hitting the ground out of my head. Now she's got a big area on her back that's scuffed where she hit and a good sized scuff on her elbow as well. Needless to say we decided to postpone her lessons for now as tempatures around here are suppose to be up over 100 for the rest of the week. :sad2:

Mike,

Thanks. We have a Dollar Tree in town too. Will hit that at one point. Kids have made posters with magnets put on back for door as well. I would hate for them to get stolen. It would cost me severly at the Gift shop. (I am Softy) :hippie:

ScrapperJill: Sorry to hear about Sydney. Very tough. We just had an issue with DD allergies and had to goto ER. So I can certainly empathize. One thing we love about Disney is they do a great job with alleriges.

Thanks everyone! Peyton did good at her conference..it was her first so a little overwhelming. She has had better times in the past, but nothing too off what she has normally swam. And yes, barecuda, she could eat like she has never seen food before when she gets done swimming! Anthony's team lost :sad1: but they still took second place. This is the best they have done so far. The past two years they have made it as far as 3rd so it is one step closer to the championship. It was a hard loss for them, but the get right back into it tomorrow on their second tournament.

Scrapperjill, OMG!! I don't know how you handled that. I hope Sydney is alright. She has so much energy, I am sure it was just from the heat.

Papa - You won't be seeing me at the virgin bar! I need the hard, strong stuff!!

Well, off to bed. Gotta go to work tomorrow.:confused3

Sandi, glad that Sydney is ok.:thumbsup2

Another hot and humid day today here in Tennessee. Mike

Kathy, Tell Anthony and Peyton Congratulations!

Sandi, I'm so glad that Sydney is doing well. You are probably smart to wait with heat like that.

Mike, hopefully you will get a break from the heat soon. Ours came today. For the next 3 days it is only getting to 80.

Chris, I am playing around with some possible door signs right now too. But since it is just Steve and I, we will probably forgo the fish extender. I’m definitely not a wiz with thread and needle either.

Well, I am still about 10 pounds away from my goal, but I decided I better start buying a few pieces of clothes for the cruise. The sales right now are hard to pass by. Coldwater Creek has 50% off everything for preferred customers, Eddie Bauer has 30%-50% off all summer clothes (Bought my new swimsuit there.), and Victoria’s Secret has my favorite tank tops on sale for $12. So after 2 hours of shopping last night I am $350 poorer. Guess I’m done. Well, I still need a pair of dress shoes. Oh, and a pair of shoes for the pool. And…… Can anyone every have enough clothes and shoes???

Go Anthony and Peyton :cool1: :cool1:

:scared1: How is she doing now? Our prayers are with you.
How scary for you!

Slight change of plans for our Florida trip. Looks like we will be taking the oldest grand daughter with us, as her mom was not able to get baby sitting lined up. Mike

Looks like the Mariner of the Sea will depart Port Canaveral on 9/21.
I will probably see it on my way to hotel night before.

We meet up with them on 9/25 in Grand Cayman and 9/26 in Cozumel.

I wish we would pass the new Freedom or Liberty of the seas. I want a in person view of how big these ships are. Are the new Disney ships going to be closer to the Freedom class the RCL has or the Voyageur class? Anyone.

They will be the same size as the Freedom class. Mike
