Thanks for the support! People always thought I was crazy to start back up again. This of course was crazy. Even crazier is that DH has never let me smoke in the house or car. So you would find me out in the snow or rain smoking a cigarette. How nuts is that!?! Well, he was kind and let me smoke in the garage if it was too nasty outside. Everyone always called me the courtesy smoker. I wouldn't even smoke on our balcony on the cruise after reading the compalints about is on this website. I'd be lugging my self out of bed at 7am to get dressed and head up to the smoking side of deck 9. Boy, this cruise is going to be so much more relaxing! :music: And now I can kiss my DH without running for the breath mints!

Congratulations EVA.

Karen when you arrive at the port now, you are given a number which is your boarding group. No more standing in line at the Mickey Ears. They call the groups and you just walk to the ears when your group number is called and then board. Mike

Thanks, Mike! :thumbsup2 And what a GORGEOUS photo - your little grand-daughter is so beautiful...

Thanks Karen, I believe that we will keep her, as her stem has fallen off(umbilical cord). Once the stem falls off you can not take them back to the pumpkin patch:lmao: :rotfl2: Mike

Another gorgeous day in London!:thumbsup2 The soggy marsh that is my lawn is finally drying out and the dogs aren't treading quite so much mud through my house!:woohoo:

I tried to stop myself but I actually started pencilling day to day plans for the cruise this afternoon - just to amuse myself. It's looking quite organised - not too crazy with plenty of time for just chillin' but I've identified a few places to be/things to do. And despite our recent conversations, not all of them involve alcohol - hard to believe, I know! :rolleyes1

I do have a few questions tho'... Does anyone know what time Palo's Brunch starts/finishes? Is the Spa open on port days? Has anyone been to one of the Art Auctions? :thanks:

Keep up the good work, Eva! :thumbsup2

Wow, I come back from work and our thread is way over on page two. I better give it a bump. Wouldn't want people to get lost.

Karen, I read a thread recently that someone said that they got a spa villa for half price on a port day. I did respond to try to get more info, but didn't get an answer. I wondered if all treatments are half price on port days. And I also wondered if you could make the reservation ahead online. Or if you have to wait until you are on the ship to book with a discount. Hmmm, I wonder who would know. I definitely am going to have at least one treatment. And I am considering the Spa Vila for One. DH says no way! I can't figure out why he is so adverse to having a massage or I would book for two.

Eva
You can booked spa online. no nothing about prices less on port days though.
good luck, and go for it even with DH.

My wife, Kathy, is doing cart wheels. She got the job she was wanting. She had worked in the NICU (NeoNatal Intensive Care Nursery) for 20 years for the city hospital. She retired when they were offering buy outs to trim the cities payroll. For the last year she has been working on the cardiac floor, but was very unhappy. Today she went to another hospital and was hired to work in their NICU. She is walking on :cloud9: Only fly in the ointment is making sure that she can get time off for the cruise.

That's very interesting. Will have to hunt thro' my PassPorter and see if it mentions that at all... :thumbsup2

TBH my DH wasn't mad keen on the idea of a massage - until he had horrible upper back pain and I massaged the knots away! Now he thinks it's some kind of miracle cure so I'm hoping he'll really be up for a massage or two on the cruise. I'd like him to have a facial too but I don't think I'll tell him that beforehand. He's a very busy guy who needs a little pampering...

That's good news, Mike - congratulations Kathy!:thumbsup2 And fingers crossed she can get the vacation time... pixiedust:

Mike - Great news about Kathy and the new job. Two of my cousins are NICU nurses and they are in such short supply but high demand! I am sure she will be able to negiotiate her vacation!

That's great Mike! Tell Kathy CONGRATULATIONS!

I looked through the Passporter from last year and couln't find a thing about discounts. I think that you have to go to the spa after boarding to see if they are running any specials. I bet they do this if there are few reservations. The Passporter also says to go there to see what type of unique packages they might be offering on the cruise, like Ladies Morning. I think that I will book one treatment online and then hit there right after we get on the ship to see if there are any special prices or packages. Well, I guess I will have to get a bit of something to eat at Topsiders first. I hope that we can get Palo reservations online and do not have to bother with doing that on the ship.

I can't believe that I already have my plans made out for the first day! Is there any help for this affliction?

Only thing I could find was on www.castawayclub.com and in the 'Disney Cruise Line - Magic - Spa Treatments' section there are a few things listed under Port Day & Embarkation Specials. Nothing half-price tho' - just a few random discounts... :confused3

Ladies Morning sounds nice - $119 for 2 treatments, champagne and use of the Rainforest Room for the day... :thumbsup2

Karen, I am going to reserve the stone therapy massage online and then wait till I get on the ship ro see what specials they might have. DH said that I could do a villa. But maybe I will go twice instead.

If there is anyone interested, there are new Western Navigators from 02/24/07 posted. Here is the link:

Hello All...

Sorry I havent been around for the past couple of days... Art Show:headache:

Tomorrow is the last day! And just think... I'll be doing this again next year, stating the planning process around Oct when we get back from the cruise.:scared:

So that means I can be more chatty on Monday.:rolleyes1

First, HUGE CONGRATS Eva!! I know it is difficult, but you can do it...one day at a time!

You are all so chatty. It takes me forever just to catch up! popcorn::

Anyway, we had a quick trip to WDW last week (it was awesome...want to go back now!) and are back to real life this week.

Just to update our part of the list...we have early dining and are on deck 7.

I did book our room at WDW the week before the cruise. We are staying at BCV if anyone else is coming in early.

We usually leave WDW around 9:00ish and get to port around 10:15ish. It is nice now that you can do everything online and then check the kiddos in at the port. It saves so much time that first day. I would try to get there by 12:00 at the latest...but the earlier you arrive, the earlier you board!

I will keep an eye on the plans and try to join in when we can. I am sure we will be there for the group photo, and definitely will be at DVC meetings, otherwise, you can probably find me on Deck 10. I used to LOVE the rainforest, but now that is has become part of the Romance pkg. it is so much more crowded. I may be in there a day or two though. :cool2:

Getting excited!

I found sorta lime green t-shirts with "V" neck at Walmart. So have one now and i put an iron on of Mickey Icon with "DIS" in the icon. I just ordered little lime green t-shirts for Pal Mickey and Minnie. So I have a lime green shirt to wear to board. If don't find something else or change my mind <G> hey it's a woman's right to change her mind over and over and over LOL

Hi Tammy! Look forward to meeting you and your family onboard...
