September 22, 2007 -- WESTERN

I found sorta lime green t-shirts with "V" neck at Walmart. So have one now and i put an iron on of Mickey Icon with "DIS" in the icon. I just ordered little lime green t-shirts for Pal Mickey and Minnie. So I have a lime green shirt to wear to board. If don't find something else or change my mind <G> hey it's a woman's right to change her mind over and over and over LOL

Well, the lime green top I thought I had in my wardrobe seems to have disappeared so I'm on the lookout now for an alternative tho' I've got to tell you, I'm not sure lime green's my colour...

Hello All...

Sorry I havent been around for the past couple of days... Art Show:headache:

Tomorrow is the last day! And just think... I'll be doing this again next year, stating the planning process around Oct when we get back from the cruise.:scared:

So that means I can be more chatty on Monday.:rolleyes1

Hope the Art Show has gone well, Ann. I love going to them and I can only imagine the work that goes on behind the scenes - you must be exhausted. If you have a website, I'd love to read about it... :)

First, thank you for all the congratulations.

Second, what we have done in the past is that someone designs a logo for our cruise and then email's it to everyone or posts it to be made on a web site such as cafepress. Lime green shirts are not necessarily a requirement. A lot of people wear a tee shirt with the same design. Mike

Hey all! I have to make that dreaded call this week to cancel our cruise! :sad1: We've been counting down the days for over a year but it's just not going to work out now that it's so close! DH and I are putting the finishing touches on our new house, we're still not 100% sure about DH's vacation time, and we feel like the money would be better spent on things here for our family, given that we have APs burning a hole in our pocket and DVC with extra points. We are both just much more comfortable cruising between APs, and/or when we're points-poor, etc. It just doesn't make sense to spend a few thousand dollars on a trip instead of a few hundred.

I wish you all the best times... I know it will be excellent!

That being said, Stateroom 5020 will be opening up soon. I don't know if any of you are interested in it at all, but I thought I'd let you know first. I'll probably call tomorrow morning, but I'll let you know when it's done if anyone is interested.

I've been looking around for a lime green shirt too. I keep finding ones that are closer to kelly or grass green. But lime green has been a bit tougher to find. I do like the color if it is kind of a light lime green. It is fun hunting though. I like the idea of a graphic that we can use to identify everyone. But we will probably make buttons, instead of iron-ons.

I'm so excited. My DH won a Zune this week and I have been looking for tropical / beach type music to put on it for the cruise. I told him that he is going to have to buy another for himself. :thumbsup2

Tammy, I'm sure we will be at the DVC meet too. It's usually more a sales pitch, but we love meeting other members. We like free give aways too. I think that there 4 or 5 members on this thread. I know that Karen just because a member.

Oh Karen, that reminds me. I forgot to say ----- WELCOME HOME!!!

I absolutely agree. So sorry that we won't get to meet, Jennifer, but you've got to do what you've got to do and it's hard to feel too downhearted with a potential DVC trip on the horizon! Thanks for your good wishes - have a wonderful vacation... :thumbsup2

Thanks Eva! I already have addonitis and sooo many trips planned it's ridiculous but, as we've already discussed, once you start there ain't no stopping! I'd like to go to the DVC Members meet as it'll be the first time we'll do anything as official DVC owners which will feel v exciting... :cloud9: :woohoo: :cloud9:

tink2020, I'm so sorry that you had to cancel the cruise. But I am sure you will have a great trip at WDW. I know how things like that can happen. The year that we built our house we went to DL instead of WDW because money was short and my place of work was already sending me to Anaheim for a conference. It sure wasn't WDW. But we did get to visit DL for the first time during their 50th. Don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to cruise once the house is in order.

Be careful Karen, addonitis is not curable. Just when I think I have it licked, I start thinking about adding points at the new resort. It's been really tough since they annouced the new DVC at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I've been tempted to add on since they opened sales Februaury 1st.

Jennifer so sorry that you had to cancel the cruise. Good luck to you and the family in the future.

We still have our fingers crossed that Kathy is able to get the time off now that she has switched hospitals and jobs. Mike

I'm in the middle of persuading DH that a small AKV add-on is more necessary than replacing our ancient and sagging sofas... :rolleyes1

We too are going to stay at BC prior to the cruise. We figured what's a few extra bucks at this point? Never stayed there before so looking forward to it. How is the transportation from the resort to the port?

if ppl are interested in a Magical Tour 07 design for a t-shirt/shirt

Magical Tour 07 shirt design

It is something very simple not a lot but enough to stand out for this group/thread. could be made smaller if not wanting to put on front of a tshirt or back but like front shoulder.

this is same design i used last time for polo on shoulder of shirt. so the above pic could be made into something like this:

Polo shirt graphic

although i use this as a button could be used to iron on shirt as well.

Button design

something simple, large enough for front or back of a shirt, something small enough for over a shoulder, or something for front and back of shirt.

just some thoughts and ideas.

I like all of those Marsha. But we may have to ask you to change the names. :) I don't think my husband would like to be called Marsha. ;) If I still had a copy of Photoshop on my computer, I would do it myself. But we bought a new computer recently and haven't broke down to buy another copy of the software. Thanks for all the work you have done for us all. :flower3:

:rotfl2: well i am shocked he wouldn't want to be called "Marsha"

I can email my original to anyone and they can make any changes they want to as long as have Microsoft Word Document. I do mine on word using drawing features. so easy to change. just click on what you want to change then type in whatever. very simple.

I enjoy playing around making signs, buttons, etc....

here is something i put together tonight. KristineN i thank her for the mickey icon with stack graphic.

Door sign pic

anyway no one feel obligated to use anything i put together for shirt, buttons, signs ANYTHING. I am sure there are others out there with much more talent. i just enjoy passing time making these simple pics/graphics to use when or whatever for.

Another gorgeous day here in London - so warm I even put the top down on my car! :car: Hope everyone else is having a good day...

I finally found my lime green top and I think it'll do! It's a little unforgiving and clingy at the moment  but hopefully it'll look alright by September! Thanks Marsha for your ideas/templates! :thumbsup2 I think I'll make a couple of pins for DH and I to wear - only thing is, how would I go about doing this? I'm horribly uncrafty so all suggestions gratefully received...

I see a couple of people are staying at WDW before the cruise - anyone else have WDW plans before or after?

If you have like a craft store nearby they probably like here sell plastic button cases. you pop to front and back off, put a picture in then pop them back together. the pin is already on there too.

if want to use the template i have let me know your email addy (private message me that) and I can send you the template on word document. in the PM if give me names, or what wording you want I will be happy to make the changes and then email template.

all you would do then is print. now printing you may have to play with depending on size of button you get. but again i can help out as much as possible shrinking or enlarging template to fit button.

what i did last time was one printed it really didn't fit or fill in the entire button case. so I printed it out, left more white background enough to fit button case. then i put little disney stickers around where the actual button design on that extra white background. that way the actual design alone with the stickers appeared to be the complete design and fit button size.

basically:
PM your email so I can send template.
in PM if want me to make changes with names etc... let me know
I will email template to you in attachment.
you print, cut out and place in button case.

find a craft like store
see if have plastic buttons that you snap the front/back off/on
put cut out design in button and snap back together.
if needed put little disney stickers to fill in space if design isn't as large as button.

make sense? :goodvibes

Or if wanting to create own design, try using word document drawing features. then insert clip art for pics, add text to say whatever want, or put name, DIS, etc.... check out creative designs on DIS boards too as ppl over there are very talented and have great ideas, already to go graphics etc...

ok i thought i had posted this, well I know I did. so either i posted it on the wrong board, or it get lost in cyperspace. or it's here and i am blind to seeing it :rotfl:

anyway, and I swore i posted more about buttons. oh well

here is link to Michael's Fun Button which is what i use. I use the larger ones mostly but did get some smaller ones this time to use as well.

Thanks for the info, Marsha!:thumbsup2 I need to pay a visit to a craft store locally and see what I can purchase...
