September 2024 Check In Thread

There are several dining threads. How old are your daughters? Are you looking for a character experience?

Generally, most people rank Blue Bayou (DL) at the top because of the ambiance. It is pricey and is one of the three restaurants offering a Fantasmic dining package. The other two offering Fantasmic dining packages are River Belle Terrace and Rancho del Zocalo (quick serve).

Another fan favorite is Lamplight Lounge in DCA.

For fine dining, look into Carthay Circle or Napa Ro

Thank you for your ideas. They are 15 and 12 so character meals arent too important. Def going to check out lamplight lounge. Thank you!

Checking in. Will be there Sept 5-8 for the half marathon, doing the 10k with my son’s fiancé. They just got engaged last week at Tokyo Disneyland so it’s also a celebration of sorts. We will have one non park day but I just can’t figure out which day I want that to be. I hate the reservation system!

same here...hoping its not as hot as last year which was early sept..90s the entire time
Yeah, no kidding. My wife melts in the heat. But we have been so many times we will just go in the evenings and stay late if so.

Is it very likely that by early Sept. Fantasmic will only be running on the weekends? I will be there 09/03 - 09/06

Meeting a sister from another state who's doing the Run Disney events. I'm there the 3rd-6th, looking forward to spending time with her and not having kids with me.

Checking in on the 13th and leaving on the 17th for my second Disneyland trip ever (and second in less than a year)! I’ll be staying at the Grand Californian for the first time and I can’t wait - seems like an amazing place and the 25% off deal was too tempting to pass up.

I will be there towards the end of September. I see that Fantasmic! is playing the first Monday of the month but not Tuesday (based on dining package availability). I wonder if it will play on every Monday in September. I hope so. That would be perfect for me.

I believe it is showing the first Monday of September as that is Labor Day. It could be the other Mondays, but I would think that unlikely.

We will be back Sep 14-16. Trying out the Disneyland Villas this time. Skipping OBB. Ive gone the last few years and I need a break from it plus there is nothing new being offered.

Going out to Disneyland for the Halloween 10k in September. My 2nd trip(July 2021) and my mom's first. We are booked at the Disneyland Hotel Villas for the trip. I just had a question on the dining reservations. Today is 60 days out from our first resort day(September 4th) and I went on at 8 AM central to book our dining reservations and its only giving me September 4th and not our whole stay. Is Disneyland different from Disney World where you can't book dining for your whole resort stay 60 days out and you have to do it individually?

Going for a quick trip September 24-26. Excited for a do over of Oogie Boogie on the 24th. Went a couple of years ago and had the worst time I have ever had at Disney. Left the park in tears shortly after the first parade. At least this time I won't be working until 1am before leaving and hopefully we won't pick the absolutely worst line for entry.

Dining reservations are not like WDW. You will need to get on each morning for each day of your trip. Not all reservations go really fast. The hardest are Trader Sam's, Blue Bayou and Carthay Circle.
For most others you won't need to be on right at 6am pacific time.
