September 2013! Who is ready to book?

I was checking prices this morning on packages and I think dining went up a tiny bit based on what I had on my spreadsheet. But not significant. And if you go in Sept there is always the chance for Free Dining. Here's hoping! :)

I have priced out the Poly(our favorite), POFQ and AoA. Now just waiting for dh to have a look and give an opinion.

Dining did go up a bit, but we always buy dining so everything is paid for when we go.

I am thiiiis close to clicking 'book'! I'm planning to go in the middle of the month, just my ds and I :cool1:. He'll be four then, and hopefully grows the rest of the smidgen of an inch he needed on our past trip to ride Splash!
Anyone think the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA are too girly for a little boy? I'm not thinking that we will be spending a whole lot of time in the room, but the pool looks like so much fun!!

Well, save me a spot on the September 2013 train, because I'm jumping on, too! :cool1:

We haven't booked anything just yet, but I was checking prices today just to get an idea of what it's going to cost us. The hubby won't be able to pick vacation time until October and who knows how long it will take before it is approved :confused3 but I have an idea in my head of when we'd like to go September 28 or 29 through October 5. I am hoping for FD - and if we can get FD, then we will be getting tickets to MNSSHP. Oh and we will be celebrating DD's 7th birthday. And this will be a suprise trip :goodvibes

I'm waiting to book once free dining comes out. Still going with the POR Royal Rooms! I will definitely be doing my adrs in March though. Can't wait!

We are planning for 9/14-22 or 28th. DH wants to go for two weeks now. But I'm concerned with taking the kids out of school that long. Especially my DS that will be 15 at that time. He is in accelerated math classes and I'm if he gets behind it'll be really hard to catch up since math is a subject that really builds on previous learning. Other than that, school schmool, let's go to Disney! Such a bad mom. LOL

Anyway, this will be our families 1st trip to WDW. We have done DLR many times. DH and I grew up in CA. So excited to finally do WDW! We are planning to stay at the FW cabins. We have 4 kids. When we go they will be DS15 (will turn 15 while we are there), DD13, DD11 & DS8.

Haven't booked yet. Will prob book next month. We are leaving for three week CA/AZ trip next week. Don't want to tie up the funds right now. ;)

My family is trying to mess things up for me. Now they are saying why don't we do a cruise and then just a couple of days at the parks?

Oh what to do?

Former math teacher here. I agree with you. Missing 5 days is going to be hard enough to keep caught up, 14 days would be extremely hard.

Maybe if DH talks me into the two weeks we can change our dates and just deal with the crowds :( Maybe mid to late May right when the kids get out of school. For now I'm sticking w the orig plan for one week in Sept.

We are looking at September 10th-19th 2013! Most likely at Coronado Springs, with the DxDP! I just sent a quote request to the travel agent this morning and have been anxiously watching my e-mail all day! It will be my husband's and both my sons first time at DW! I am beyond excited and have been planning since LAST September...

And, silly little tidbit, tomorrow will be the last Friday the 13th before we'll be in Disney! My husband and I got married on a Friday the 13th (also met on a Friday the 13th, had our first kiss on a Friday the 13th, and had both of our kids due on a 13th!), so we celebrate them as kind of an extra anniversary. That is part of the reason I chose our dates, so we can celebrate our next Friday the 13th Disney style!

All those 13 dates are so cool.

My family is really messing me up with my planning. They so want to do a cruise. I hate cruises.

I am excited to plan our Friday the 13th in Disney, more than any other part of the trip. My MIL & FIL will be coming down for part of the time, so I am hoping to pawn DS5 & DS4 off on them for the day.

I understand about the family throwing kinks in plans. MIL wants to stay off-site in a condo to save money and wants us to join. This is our first Family Vacation, so I feel the "urge to splurge", plus the way we plan to eat there would be minimal cost savings for us to stay off-site. Did the math and it's about $300 cheaper off-site, but we'd have to deal with renting a car, and baggage claim, etc... so not worth it to me! She thinks I am being difficult.

*Sigh* Family.:confused3

So i cannot book for at least a couple of months
At least i know how much my vacation will cost me!
I am so excited
My DS will be 4 on the 10th so we are going to celebrate his birthday at CSR for 9 days with deluxe dining! I hope anyway

We've gone to WDW twice since my girls have been born, but both times we have gone with the in-laws. Our trip in 2013 will be our first trip with just *our* little family. I am so excited!

Even with renting a car is it $300 cheaper? Also, who wants to cook and such while on vacation. Are you wanting to use EMH? If so there is an excuse to stay on site.

Of course you are the one being difficult.:rotfl2: Did it occur to her she was the one being difficult? lol

It's mostly that much cheaper because we are splitting the cost of the condo AND eating breakfast in the condo. I forgot to account for parking though, so that makes it only $180 difference, which is only the savings in breakfast costs. I could probably find a cheaper condo than the one she priced out... but I don't want to.

Oh, and neither me nor the hubby has a Driver's liscence... so there's another $120 or so to get that again.

Hmmm.... only $60 now....

I want the DxDP darn it!

Oh, and by happenstance I figured out that we will not only be at Disney for Friday the 13th, but it will be our 13th Friday the 13th since we have been married. LOL.

Do a garden grocer order and you can still eat breakfast in the room. That is what we are going to do in order to save our CS and TS meals for lunch and dinner.

We are planning on doing the Deluxe Dining Plan, just because my Husband wants to do a lot of character meals and At least three signature meals. So it's not really worth it to me to to do a garden grocer order... though I might anyway. I have a $25 gift certificate I won.

This is a big celebration, so I see no need to skimp on costs. First family vacation, 13th Friday the 13th, Husband finally graduating from school and getting a career (well, by the time we go, he graduates in December).

MIL sees the price and freaks out. I think she just doesn't have a good idea of all the money saving perks to on-site. No car rental saves us $600 ish, plus $120 in parking, plus $120 to get a liscence. Free wi-fi saves us $100. Dining plan is going to save us about $300. Not to mention the time savings of being on-site, and the EMH.

There is no arguing with MIL though. LOL. I just told her she can do as she sees fit, and we will do the same, and we'll enjoy our time how we like it.

We are going in September 2013! :)

9/21 - 9/28
Port Orleans French Quarter

Let's hope this next year flies by!

Well I have given in to my family. We are no longer go to WDW in September of 2013:sad:

Today I booked a cruise for October of 2013. The only upside for me is that since it is a 5 night cruise, we are going to go to WDW for a couple of nights after the cruise.

So if someone wants to take over this thread, please do.

Now I have to figure out how to change my ticker.
