I too got about 100 or so US$ notes from the bank before we went. However, it was a few months before because I started paying my girls pocket money in US$ instead of NZ$ and offered them random jobs to do around the house for which were paid US$ It was a great way of enforced saving for the trip. Hmm, in typing this, I wonder I should do the same now in the lead up for our Hawaii trip

We keep running out of $1 notes so a hundred sounds good to me I hope the boys feel better soon and make sure you buy anything you think you might need if there not better before you leave it is a nightmare trying to get some medications and vitamins over here I can't believe how different our over the counter stuff is.

Rofl. I contemplated tampons then decided I'd just buy some over there but after your post I've just got out if bed and packed from the bathroom stash!

we do have 'special" DH"s.....my Dh couldnt see the problem with the amount of money as well

DH confiscated the camera after I said I wanted to take a pic of it all, I think he's a tad embarrassed by it.

Oh yeah, mine's special - he washes his ring down the Qantas flight toilet remember. He's still working on that wee project.

Dress the kids up in the cash, I'm sure with that amount they will both get covered....tell your DH he's priceless and gave us a laugh when we needed it.....

But, I don't think I've ever been this close to a trip before and been so disorganised. My paperwork is still in a messy heap in my in-tray - it should be neatly filed in a manila folder with coloured/categorized tabs by now. With backup copies done in triplicate...

However, we had a lovely dinner with the family last night for Father's Day

When you're fininshed come and be busy at my house - I'll give you the stuff in my in-tray to put gold dots on....

I had to go and collect DS from school this afternoon - he's a walking stream of mucus Pointed him towards his bedroom and threw in some food and Sudafed.

Would I be a bad mother if I just pushed his meals into the room with a stick for a few days?? I'd even wave to him through his bedroom window every few hours so he didn't get lonely

I don't want to get sick now!!!

i have my suitcase open on the bed in the spare room from when we were planning our trip this year... Every time i see it when i walk past i get a little pang in my heart.

I had a cold last week, bad for 2 days and now just have the dry it under my nose from constantly blowing it, I don't blame you for wanting to push the food in with a stick

Is he too young for bourbon??

I was taking bourbon and cold and flu tablets, maybe that's why I was only really bad for 2 days
