Congrats on your wedding and honeymoon! We're heading down this October for our honeymoon! That's a long drive(we're from CT)..You will definitely have a great trip. September is a quieter time of the year. When in September are you going? FI and I were there in mid September last year (18th-23rd) and there were virtually no lines (10 minutes or so, max). Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween was also going on at that time (it usually stars around the 10th of the month), which was fun. The Magic Kingdom will also be decorated for Halloween. Don't forget to get the bride and groom Mickey ears for it! If you can, I would get the
Disney Dining Plan. It will save you in the long run, especially if you eat at some of the higher end restaurants. I would plan to spend one day at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom and 2 days each at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. You could also go to the water parks. Our favorite is Typhoon Lagoon. There is a fake beach and wave pool, and crush and gusher is awesome. For some night time fun, you could head over to the Boardwalk or Downtown Disney (lots of shops and restaurants). Make your dining reservations at the 180+10 day mark, because a lot of the more popular restaurants get filled up quickly. Here is a list of our favorites:
Tusker House (Breakfast)- Animal Kingdom
50's Prime Time Cafe and the Sci Fi Cafe- Hollywood Studios
Crystal Palace, Tony's, Cinderella's Royal Table- Magic Kingdom
LeCellier, Tutto Italia- Epcot
There are a bunch of other great restaurants, but those are a few of our favorites.
Have a great trip!
