Still waiting for some kind of deal... I really wish they would announce the dates for the home school days, too. That would determine which kind of deal would be best for us. We can't go the last week of September, but could go the third week or the first week of October if we needed to for that. If we went for HS Days, a % off would be great. But if not, I'm all for FD! But right now, I'd take about anything!

*sigh* Got an email from Disney Destinations. Was soooo pumped, opened and...........nothing. Just an advertisement to go ahead and book the AK Kidani Village offer I had saved in my saved offers. I only saved it to increase my chances of getting a pin, but there was no pin or talk to a discount or deal or promo or anything. Just a Book Now button, which I tried anyways just in case it took me to a discount page, but it only took me to the booking page to pay full-price.

C' mon Disney, it's not fair to play with people like that! Maybe since I'm not booking they'll send me a pin in the next email? If there is a next one that is, this is the first time I've ever gotten one from them.

recieved the "Game On" pin today by mail from disney destinations today.

with my dates already planned, i can only use it for 3 nights of my stay.

the way i see it, that's better than nothing....!

for 9/1 - 9/27 this year: 30% off....

mods : $119
deluxe: $186

plus tax for the above.

only valid for rooms Sun-Thur nights.

I got that same PIN and it gave me 30% off Friday and Saturday as well as Sun-Thurs at Poly. Saved us almost $900 for the 7 nights.

They toy with your emotions, don't they?!?! Did you order the 2012 Planning DVD and the free maps? I saved 5 vacations, ordered the DVD and maps and my 30% code came with everything (separate mailer, but the same time as the maps and DVD). Good luck and hope something comes out soon for you!!

I did order the DVD, saved some vacations, signed up my dh on the site as well, but can't order the maps since I'm in Canada and they won't ship here. Oh, and I completed both my dh and my profiles completely. I'll just keep waiting, hoping when the one Canadian room only offer expires on the 31st maybe they'll come out with a new offer for fall dates next month.

I forget you are from Canada. I am not familiar with the discounts offered to you guys, but I do know that free dining was offered until Nov or Dec. Maybe they will re-release it?

URGH due to get my taxes back next week and I am sooo ready to book my hotel room. I wish they would just post some discounts already. I mean seriously, I have to make my ADR's in 2 months

I dont think so. From what I understand its rack rate if you are going w/ free dining. So that would mean no room discount

Hi, we are currently planning a trip for 27 Sept - 7 nights. Have booked and paid deposit on POR.

So based on a tip elsewhere on this board, I signed my husband up to the Disney Parks site, then I save a trip for March at the AKL. You know to look like we are thinking about it.

3 days later he receives a PIN in his inbox.

Used it to do some pricing for our September dates and saves $162 off the current rate for POR. Looks like around 20% off. Tried for AKL and it's more like 30%.

Have sent it to my TA to see what she can do as I hate speaking to the agents on the phone, they don't understand my Aussie accent.

Still hoping for Free dining as we have 2 rooms booked (7 people) and that would work out a huge saving for us.

Congrats!! I am not sure if other people have gotten pins on top of pins, but September is free dining month. I am pretty sure FD will be a general public offer, just a matter of when.

Hey all, Thought I would join in and wait with you all.. We want to go this fall, but the offer will depend on wether or not we can stay in the parks. I am anxiously awaiting to hear if FREE DINING is being offered!!

Yeah, I'm bummed that we missed out on the offer at the end of 2011, but we weren't planning on going until next year, but just decided a couple weeks ago that we can't wait that long. Last year I booked on March 3 with a Canadian 40% off Deluxe Villas promo, so I'm crossing my fingers that they'll come out with that again or even 35% off. The free dining was also out for Sept but we save more with the room discount if it's between 35-40% off. Either would be awesome though, free dining would save us just under $2K and 35% room discount would save us around 2200-2300, so I'll be ecstatic for either of them!

came back to update what i posted above a few days back.

i finally called today to book at a value resort.
i was under the impression that i could only get the discount on the nights up to 9/27.
the CM on the phone told me i was wrong.

she gave me the discount on all the nights i booked.

That is awesome!! The wording is misleading with the Sun-Thurs disclaimer. I got the 30% off all 7 of my nights, so I'm glad you did, too!

Got home yesterday and had a big ol white envelope in my mailbox. I was so excited it said DISNEY Upgrade and had a MICKEY head on it. I was beside myself! I was so giddy. I got it and sat down to open to see my pin and WHA POW.......Upgrade your Disney VISA?? Wow what a let down! I have never received a pin and it doesn't look like I ever will.
