Free dining isnt usually released until march or April . Not sure if they do a special Canada promo but I'm going to worry until the second week of April.

Hoping for a nice discount on a deluxe room myself. Does anyone know when those are released or is it the pin code lottery for that type of discount?

I really want to book our trip. But, I can't. If there's no free dining, we can't go. I'm trying to figure out a way we might be able to do it if we don't get fd. If anyone can make some suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. Definately staying at Pop. We usually go for 2 to 3 weeks., I know it seems like a long time, but we're from Canada and it is our one and only vacation each year.

I thought the Canadian Disney site already had free dining available for Sept?

The Canadians already had a FD offer, but the booking period for it is over.

SW released their airfare yesterday, and fares were higher than usual. I'm more than ever hoping for FD now.

It was March 3rd last year when we booked our trip, and they had a promo going on for 40% off Deluxe Villas, 30 or 35 off select Deluxe, 25-30 of mods, etc. I'm not sure if that was a Canada only promo, or when the promo came out though. It was our first trip so I wasn't stalking the site or anything, just saw a commercial on tv and decided we should maybe price it out. So I'm praying by March they'll come out with the same promo or we won't be able to stay at SSR again.

I'm still praying for cheaper airfare too! Since we're coming from Canada and there's 6 of us the lowest I can find right now is $3773. When I booked last year in March I lucked out and found it for $2200 for end of Aug. Then we changed our dates, and I had to add $150 per person for the change, and pay the price difference because they had gone up quite a bit. So I'm nervous this year, not sure if I should just book at $3773 or cross my fingers it'll go down! It may go up instead....

Yes, I'm Canadian and I booked the September free dining when it was on in the off-chance we may be able to go...I think of it as insurance! Still not sure the trip is on, but at least I have until August to figure it out.

Does anyone know how it works if I need to change dates though? For example, we are booked September 16th - 26th, but the husband is now wondering if we should go August 18th - 28th. If the free dining offer originally included those dates, will I be able to change the dates of booking and maintain my free dining?

How in the WORLD did you file your taxes already? We just got my husband's w2 last night and still haven't gotten our mortgage one. UGH I am jealous! I LOVE tax season!

We get our tax paperwork early right around the 2nd week of the month and our mortgage taxes are available on line..so did it all and they should be in my account by the 1st

I keep thinking I will just book it and pay the "hold" fee now then I can change it. The problem I have is that I have been looking into renting DVC points this year and currently it is cheaper going that route than staying at CBR which is where my DD wants to stay this year. So I just need them to say what discount they are giving so I can know which one I want to do
Im just getting older and losing patience and hat waiting any more

Lots of people file their taxes now. We get all our stuff (w2s, mortgage, savings, church donation) by MLK Jr weekend and I file the first day the IRS accepts.

If it makes you feel better they had a computer glitch at the good ol' IRS and our returns are going to take a week longer now to get to us

At any rate, I was just reading up on DW and I read that Be Our Guest Restaurant is most likely going to be open by Sept 2012 I am SO EXCITED!

I also read that TRex Restaurant in downtown Disney will be accepting the dining plan. My son will be happy about this as we never went because we are always on the dining plan!

We can not wait to take our kids in Sept.

I did receive a pin but it was for 10% off and that was early January!! I used it to book,but am waiting for the Free dining also!

Welcome! I received a 15% pin a few weeks ago and actually didn't book. I am banking on free dining (probably a dumb move and if there is no free dining, I will be bummed) but I figure if there is no free dining, then there will at least be 30% off a mod! So we are sticking it out.

With or without free dining, we will be there from Sept 15-23. We are staying 7 nights at POR and then switching for one short night at AKL as a surprise to my 7 year old daughter who has begged us to stay there! We are calling it her Communion present, but really we're all benefitting LOL! I haven't stayed deluxe since *I* was 7! LOL!

I got the this pin.... I sent in a request for a quote on POR from Sept 9th-15th and it would save me $337.12 off of rack rate!!! ***FD would save me more but will settle for what I can get, but hope for the better offer!!!
