September 2012 code watch!

We are looking to stay 9/19 through 9/27 2012, split stay between Poly and Music (will be strictly ASMU or CBR if no FD or room discount available)

Can you share how you got that? Do you live outside the US? I've been trying to book for September all day.

Yes, I live in Canada.

I called and spent about an hour on the phone with a very nice cast member. However, she said everything was completely gone for mods and values. I was so disappointed. Then I tried on line and got exactly the dates and resort I wanted. Don't know why I was able to get it and the cast member wasn't. I was also able to get the same dates for my sister and her family.

Nope, I'm in good old Indiana. I think you misread what I wrote. I didn't say I got free dining. I said I was hoping that I would get it. We are doing a cruise first and then 3 or 4 nights at Pop. But if free dining is available for my dates (we get off the ship 9/16/12), we might be able to justify a longer stay because an extra night or two at Pop isn't very expensive. To me, the food prices at Disney are just completely unreasonable. So I won't stay too long and give them too much of my money for food! But if I have free dining, well, great, we will stay. THe cost of an extra night at Pop is reasonable and less than what we normally pay when traveling. In other words, I don't mind giving Disney more money for something that I see as a reasonable value.

I'm planing Sept 27 - Oct 5 at POR that way I can attend Food and Wine Festival.. Hope for FD. Does anyone know the anyway around staying in the Royal Room with 5 ppl? I have a 3, 4, 8 years. There's no way I'm letting them staying in their own room..

So, my DH is Canadian, and my children are both dual-citizens. Think it would matter that we haven't actually *lived* in Canada since 2006...?

Going september 6th-10th for DD 40th Birthday. Plan on staying at the Poly. Not booking until January 2012. Hoping for a room discount. Not doing the parks. Going to the spa and plan on Flying Fish and Fultons. Jelyrolls for Birthday night. Maybe doing dolphin excursion on one of our days at clearwater beach and then spend the evening at Hard Rock Casino. Looking forward to spending these days with DD doing anything we want

I am keeping everything crossed for a room only discount of 35% for the GF. I have always wanted to stay there. We are going on a cruise Sept 2012 and I would love to be able to book a few nights at GF before our cruise. Won't be able to do that unless I get a room only discount!!!!!

Do you think the will exclude the AOA because it is new? We are in Nemo we could stay at Por for less but I like the beds better at AOA.

AoA was not included in the Canadian free dining offer. I don't have my hopes up that it will be included in domestic free dining.

Saw a post today that there has been rumors that the next round of FD dates might come out either today or tomorrow... we can only keep our fingers crossed!

I was to understand the same thing but the CM told me they did include AOA just a lower number of rooms.My hope is that everyone that wanted free dinning from Canada picks somewhere else and they open it for us.

One can only hope and stock the discussion boards . I got up at 6:30 this morning to see as I had heard the same rumor.

Hi Hi Hi!!!!!!! And here I thought I was the only crazy one who was already planning for 2012!!! I already have a PTR, but then again, I've had that for a LONG time, just trying to get the money saved up.

I'm finding lots of mixed dates for the end of FD in Sept. 2012 and I'm sure that's b/c nothing is official, but I've seen 9/29 for the Canadian offer, and then two different people who had bounceback offers saying that it ended 9/25 and 9/27, so I'm not sure what to think!

I can't plan anything until I know, we can't stay onsite if we don't go during FD, but I really want to go the last day and first week of October if possible. I guess only time will tell!

Welcome to the party ! The wait is the hardest part . Dh just told me he is hoping for FD in Nov 2012. We are booked now for Sept 14-22 2012.

I'm a little concerned about this. We were originally thing about going in the middle of October, but all those dates were blacked out for free dining and they still haven't announced any other kind of discount for that time. We could move our trip up to the last Friday in September (Sept 28th) if we had to, but I don't think we could get there much earlier than that.

I'm on the hunt as well. I'm a dvc member planning a trip with a friend. Since we're trying to go on the cheap, I was thinking it might be worth it to plan a FD trip and rent out the dvc points to cover the costs. I loved staying at POFQ and I kind of miss it.

Also, it's both of our 30th birthdays in 2012, and we want to be at Epcot for it's 30th birthday (it's oct. 1 2012 I believe) So we'd like to stay the tail end of september into october possibly.
