we leave next week and my daughter is starting to get a head cold and my husband and I have had sore throats for the last couple of day
As long as we can get it out of our systems before we leave, then it's all good.

Yep, colds and sore throats here too . Well, since it's just me and DS #2 going this time, and we're both already sick, and we still have 13 days....hoping we'll be all better in time!

Sent the notes into the school district and teachers yesterday for the days he'll be missing - hope they can keep my secret

So I had said that Wednesday was going to be an off day or at least for the morning.
I figured maybe hit an outlet mall somewhere and have dinner at Hooters (per hubby's request) and I'm hoping that we can hit a park in the evening.
Thu 9/29: AK with breakfast at Tusker House
Midday break
Dinner at 1900 Park Fare
Fri 9/30 : Last day (
DHS
lunch at 50's Prime
Not sure what the second park will be

So, yes, we have 5 day parkhoppers, but I'm thinking about adding another day since it would only cost me $25!!
I want to get the most out of touring since we only have a week and not sure if we will go back next year (depends on how it goes this time and how our daughter does). TIA for any suggestions!

Has anyone done the Disney Junior Dance Party? Ive never heard of it before, and just this past week its come up a few times on the boards. I wasnt planning on attending the EMH at DHS since its a park to avoid that day, but DS loves to dance so I thought maybe we would hop over.. Any one done it?? Opinions??

For those with colds-try going to the healthfood store and getting some elderberry and taking the thereputic dose. Elderberry is great for colds and at the least does a great job of keeping it from turning into something worse, like a sinus infection. Oh and add some probiotics into your vitamin routine


We are leaving in one week today!!! I feel so scattered! I was so organized at first and now as it gets closer it just all feels chaotic. But I love it! I still have some dresses to finish sewing (Minnie Mouse), but one is all finished except the zipper and I did it in a few hours so hopefully the other will be "easy".

We still have a tiny bit of shopping to do for my husband as he has recently dropped about 20lbs and I need some odd and ends for the girls.

Going to start looking at checking in online!

We have lunch at 50's that same day. We usually switch off every other year Sci-fi and 50's, but we decided to do 50's again this year so last week we cancelled sci-fi and made this lunch res. so excited, we love their food.

me too lol. We are driving down and we're planning on leaving between 3-4 am. Hubby is going to go to bed early because he'll be able to fall asleep. that man can sleep at the drop of a hat anytime anywhere lol (It must be a military thing) where as I am not going to sleep at ALL until we leave because I'm just going to be too excited LOL. but I'll fall asleep in the van once we get moving.. it's inevitable lol.

Thank you. I am. I'm over the negative "nothing is ever going to work out ever again for the rest of my life" phase and now I'm into the "Ok now I need to put my nose to the grindstone and figure out how to make this work in the best way possible" phase lol

I agree about the thundershowers. my inlaws live in florida and (against our better judgement) we went to visit them in JULY scared1: never again in july lol) and it stormed every single day... but you could set your watch by these storms lol. They started at almost the exact same time everyday lasted for about half an hour MAYBE an hour and then they were gone. they sure didn't cool it off at all though blah lol.

Today is the day! We are awaiting departure should be in Orlando by 9am! We will be going on only two hours sleep an upset jitter tummies it may be a short day today at the parks which is fine as it is a vacation lol. I will be checking in I'm sure.

We went in Sept last time (3 years ago) and were amazed at how predicatable the showers were! Fortunately, they did cool it off. They seemed to come right as the heat got unbearable and cool it off just enough to make it enjoyable again.

I will tell you though that the Love Bugs (?) were crazy!!! There were little black beetles EVERYWHERE! Including all over our hotel door and the walkway. It was a little creepy.

I just started to think about all the people getting back soon...this board will have started another thread by the time I get back with all the trip reports! lol! Hopefully getting to DIS will help the trip hangover when we get back! (Is it weird I think about that already?) I just applied for another job, so I'm planning on having my phone with me everyday down at Disney...and it would come with a nice size raise,,,and my bf starts a new job when we get back that came with a raise...so I'm hoping when we're there I can convince him to bounceback!! If only we didn't have a bathroom we wanted to redo when we got back....

Just did online check-in
I also had a little bit of a panic moment I clicked to check on our reservations to just make sure everything was as it should be.. for ex., dining reservations and resort...well..it came up no dining reservations found I think my heart stopped beating for a few minutes...I made the reservations in March and they were just there earlier today. As my heart stopped beating I'm panicing looking for the disney dining number. Called and talked to a wonderful CM (wish I could remember her name) and she said that all is as it should be. She went over my reservations and commented "wow, you must have made these a long time ago..there are NO character meals available anywhere for that week! "
I'm assuming that means the restaurants are going to be packed!!
Anyways, just wanted to share my panic attack

Of course not! I will probably spend the ride home talking about what we liked that we did during the trip and what we'd like to change for next time. Otherwise it is unbearable

FINALLY! Less than a week to go!! DH only has 2 days left of work, kids only have 4 days left of school, and we're off next Tuesday as soon as they're out! I CAN"T WAIT!!!!

Just got word that my FIL has been admitted to the hospital. Dont have any details other than probably heart problems. Will know more after they run some tests. His blood pressure was really high when he was admitted. So we will see. I dont know what this means for our trip but thats secondary

Any good thoughts or prayers are appreciated
