Hi everyone,
We are packing up the car as I write this. We are begining our journey from New Hampshire to Orlando in about 30 minutes! I can't believe it's time to get on the road for the long ride to my happy place!
Just wanted to say thanks again for all the great ideas and hope that everyone has a great time when they get to Disney.
I am staying at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge and I'm putting a sign on our door for other DISers to sign if you are in the area! I'm not sure what room we will be in but if you see it please feel free to leave a message!

ONLY 23 DAYS!!!!!

I'm so excited for this trip. It's my DD's 4th birthday and she's SO excited about the trip this year. Like she REALLY gets it this year. We got the pins we ordered the other day and she picked out 6 that she just has to carry around with her in her little purse at all times and we don't go anywhere without the mini Minnie (lol) and the mini Daisy plushes we have.

They even go on wagon rides at the farm LOL

So seeing her so excited makes me even MORE excited if that's possible.

I've got most of her gifts bought but I am freaking out about my package from the Disney store. For some reason it was sent to our old address but I was sure I selected our new address. I figured not a big deal. I know the people that live there so I would get the package anyway. but the post office decided to re route it. this was on the 30th and I haven't seen hide nor hair of this package. I could have walked to that house and back to my house in less time. where the heck is it? Now I have to call the post office and that always ruins my day.

I also want to get that giant stuffed minnie that was on for half price at the Disney store but I can't do that until hubby gets paid on Tuesday and DD goes to preschool so I can have a moment alone to get it without her seeing it. I just HOPE they have some left

AHHHHHHHH I just looked at the website for the disney store outlet here and they are having sales this weekend and clearance items are an additional 25% off... which means those minnies are 75% off :O I have to go get one today lol I have enough cash on me LOL.

I tried calling to see if they have any left but no answer.

Just two weeks until we go! Could anyone comment on bringing a camcorder with you on your trip? We don't own a camcorder, but have been thinking about buying one for the upcoming trip. NOthing like the last minute, right? If you bring a camcorder, are you glad that you did?

We usually bring one. I love watching them in the winter. Our biggest mistake has been recording a lot of one thing and then not recording anything for other days. We'll have 20 minutes of the Hoop De Doo and then nothing for a couple days . Sometimes its just too hard to dig it out .

I think if you will use a camcorder in your regular life, then it is probably worth it. That way, if you get down there and don't feel like dragging it around, its not such a big deal to leave it in the room.

I don't bring a camcorder but my point and shoot camera has video capabilities so I bring that for video and my Nikon for photos.

I LOVE having the video camera. I need to take more video though. It's just hard to take photos and run the video at the same time and it seems no one else does it the way I want it done they don't take enough pictures or not a long enough video lol

Thanks so much for the welcome! I will definitely stick around to chat - the trip is a surprise for my son, and my sister is one of those "you take care of all the details - I don't want to be bothered until we get there!" kind of people. Not that I mind making all the plans , but I like to review my spreadsheets with SOMEbody

Not sure how I have missed this thread, but I an glad I found it. I have a lot of catching up to do.

My good friend, oldest sister, and myself will be at POFQ Sept 16-20. Girls only trip. No kids, no husbands. We are so excited about going. First stay for me at the POFQ, but I have been reading up on it and it sounds like it will be great for us.

so we leave in 3 days and my students have gotten me sick. I Lysoled everything daily, and even wore my hand sanitizer on my key chain, but it was no match. Grrrr. I woke up yesterday with a stuffy nose (went into denial) and I got through my day...today whole other story...sore throat, sinus problems, headache. I must admit defeat-Its a cold. I told my hubby I am laying in bed all weekend! I'm kicking this now before we leave Tuesday. Hoping to anyway.

I loved the YouTube video! I don't even know this family, but they're so flipping cute, every last one of them! I love his narration at DHS's rope drop! It's three weeks today, and my little Pooh is moving across my ticker fast!

I loved that part, but my favorite part was the Dad, dressed up as Mr. Incredible, dancing with Chip. Hysterical!

I think we've finally decided to go ahead and shell out for MNSSHP! Since ds is in Gr.4 and we probably won't be able to go back for at least a couple years if not more, next time we go we'll probably try to go during a different time of year when he won't miss so much school. So this might be the only chance we get to hit up MNSSHP for quite awhile anyways.

So now, time to figure out costumes!!! We already have a couple costumes bought for Halloween this year, but I'd really like to go as a common theme. Especially after watching that first family video on YouTube!! Looks like a blast!! It'll be nice to act like a kid again.

I'm also debating trying to put together a video like that myself, what an awesome keepsake to have and share with family and friends!

Why are we all sick? DD has been congested/runny since Monday and DH is getting it now (and we all know it's the worst when the DHs get it!). I have been fighting it but certainly don't feel 100%. We have 2 weeks before we go but I'm glad that I got most everything done already since my energy is gone!

I have been feeling icky too.
Hoping it is just my allergies and it will go away or be less of an issue by the time we leave. I have enough medical issues that I don't need having a cold or sinus infection (which I do get quite frequently).

I've been stalking Walgreens--gone to 3 different stores around me in the past 5 days and they have varying degrees of Halloween candy out but NO. WINDOW. CLINGS! Apparently it's too "early" for Halloween stuff I guess window decor will be the last thing I get. I would like window clings and some Halloween lights too.

Just came back from the aforementioned Walgreens with some Airborne so I'll be chomping those. I hope everyone, my family and all of you guys, feel better ASAP!
