So happy for everyone that is leaving for vacay!! 21 DAYS!!! Woohoo!!

Lots still to do.....finish MK shirts for girls, finish pirate tops for MNSSHP for the whole family, finish my gifts for our group and waiting on all the hollister stuff to arrive that I bought online so I can finish packing.

And here is the outfit I made for 1900 Park Fare dinner with Cinderella , Prince, Ladt T, and the awful step-sisters.

Those are awesome!!! I love them!

Oh yes, Hefty One Zip Gallon bags are my friend! Best packing tip ever! Keeps everything so organized!

I will be doing the same thing! It will make it easier for DH to just pull out a bag and it will have an outfit for each of the boys. That way I don't have to help him pick out outfits and the boys are wearing what I want them to.

I'm back!! We're going on our honeymoon September 27th-4th and we'll be staying at Riverside!! We added a day onto our honeymoon, we may change the flight that day so we can go earlier I have to talk to DF.

If anyone has any suggestions of some things we should do, please let me know! I have some ADRs as well, and sort of have an idea of what we're doing, but suggestions are appreciated!! We'll have the military tickets (4 day, fun and more option, park hopper)

Since you are staying at POR, why not take the carriage ride they offer? I think it's $35 for a 30 minute ride. Also, congrats on your soon-to-be wedding!

We r on the Disney Dream RIGHT NOW! It's unbelievably beautiful. Off to have a guided tour of the ship!

I've been lurking a lot, but haven't posted much.

Our first WDW trip as a family (ie: with our two daughters, 4 and 6), will be 9-3 through 9-10. We're staying at the WL and couldn't be more excited. Two more days!

DH and I will be at the WL starting on the 8th...maybe we'll see you! Have a great time!

And.....We FINALLY got our list Mickey Mail. Luggage tags and package information in the mail today! I feel like we have been waiting forever.


So...at school I always number the kids at each table. They each get specific jobs each day. Well, this year in one of my many Home Depot trips, I picked up lots of paint samples. I asked the man behind the counter how many I could actually take and he said, "Take what you feel is necessary!" He he he! He obviously doesn't know a DISer when he sees one. Anyway, now my kids are color coded with Mickey heads. They LOVE them and it makes it very fun to say a hundred times a day. "Ok, if you are a red Mickey or a blue Mickey." Love it! I have taken my Disney obsession to a whole new level. I thought you guys would understand my need to share.

Yay for the Mickey Mail! I absolutely love your idea for the Mickey heads! What a neat way to think about WDW while woking.

13 PAGES?!
Had a hick-up in my plans, this is supposed to be a work like crazy week making merchandise to sell when I get back, but....remember that heat-related nausea-whatever that I got last Sat? Well, it was more. By Monday I had the makings of a humongous boil on my neck. The infection spread all the way around and despite heavy antibiotics, I still have a grapefruit sized goiter. Staph infection gone wild. Eventually it will clear up, but I may have to have a facelift to pull my neck skin back in. (that's a joke, I would never have the money - I'll just be saggy).

So sorry to hear about this! Hope you get better quickly and are not in any pain with it.

A word on MNSSHP. Is it worth it? For us yes, because we arrive at 4 and stay until park closing. We wear costumes and love the parade (which we watch in frontierland, because it is spookier and the VILLIANS!!! We are adults and can do it all without meltdowns, if money is a consideration (and it is for most of us) I would say it is only worth the price if you can happily stay the whole time and plan in advance the things you want to get done. We also wait and see what the weather is doing before we buy our tickets and still buy in advance for discounted days.

I have decided to definitely go. I've made t-shirt for all of us and plan to get Halloween Mickey Ears too. I am waiting for the forecast as well. Thanks for the input.

On another note, yesterday a friend and co-worker decided to take me to the zoo with her, her boyfriend and their 2 kids.... halfway thru the day the bf got really sick... sick enough that they went to the hospital!!!! He had a lump in his throat that was closing off half of it, and was burning up. It wasn't strep throat or tonsils but some kind of very contagious virus!!!! Last night, my co-worker was feeling sick at work!!! As bad as I feel for them, I couldn't help thinking....

"OMG I better not catch this 1 week before I go to DISNEY!!!"​

Any suggestions on keeping from getting this???

Oh my gosh! I hope you don't get it! I don't really think there is anything you can do to prevent it once you've been exposed. I'll pray for you though.

Problem is... we aren't going back to Disney next year (we need an off year with a less expensive vacation)... so as soon as this years is over, I will start planning.... (always gotta be planning its what gets me through the year!!!)

That is horrible! I pray you don't get sick. I'd get something like Airborne and maybe even call your doctor to see if they suggest anything. Good luck!

I hope you don't get it . I know how scary something like that can be. I suggest eating as healthy as you can and getting enough rest. Also, wash your hands a lot. Its not usual that something that bad would be very contagious.

I felt a little bit like I was being too antsy, but we are exactly 3 weeks out...and I thought if there really is a problem I better contact her.

She said it goes to her boss first....then to her...then to me....

We have never had a video camera on any of our previous trips and I'm sad we missed out on recording so many cute moments...but our new camera has a great video option so we can't wait to capture some amazing moments this time around

Still waiting to tell the teachers we are pulling the kids out for a week. I'll give them a week or two....

I am a teacher and I am pulling my kids out of school for one day. We made it work so that we had two holidays and then a weekend so we just had to pull them out for one day which obviously means that I am missing work too. Oops! LOL. That is what we have personal days for right?

I went from being super excited to being a little nervous. Leave in 3 days (Monday am) and im a little nervous about flying. I used to love to fly but now I get a lilttle anxious. My poor hubby has to deal with me on th eplane. Atleast its a direct flight!! And im nervous i will forget something. I have post its, and to do list, suit case check lists all over the house. Ahhhh

Im the same way! I used to LOVE to fly, never bothered me.. However the last few times I've had to fly I've gotten very antsy and paranoid at the airport. Luckily WDW is a little over two hours so its not that bad, but Im still a nervous wreck beforehand!

It's not the flying part I get nervous about. For some reason I'm nervous in big airports and the whole security thing. No idea why
I have visions of being held up during the security check and missing our flight. I have nightmares about it.

Great thread - I don't know why I haven't seen (and subbed) before!

Count me in - long weekend trip with DS10(turning 11 on our trip), DSis and DNiece(12) - 9/28-10/3. Staying at the Poly CL

Doesn't look like we match up with anyone else's ADRs, but still excited, and hope to meet some fellow Disers (this will be my 10th trip, and never came across a LGMH yet )
