We are back! We got home around 9PM Sunday. We had a great time but it was definitely harder and different with a toddler! We were vacationed out but certainly not Disney'd out!
A few thoughts: It was HOT! We probably won't go in September again, especially since it seemed more crowded than I had expected. We had some long lines for meeting characters but really didn't wait very long for rides. We did wait 20 mins for POTC on our last day though, and that's long to me!
MNSSHP was awesome and we watched both parades. We only met the Dwarfs though as there was just too much to do. We did both Haunted Mansion magic shots for the Photopass but only the hearse made it onto our photo pass card. We'd go again to the MNSSHP when DD is older, like maybe around 8.
The lovebugs were NOT bad at all, only saw a few flying around. There were a lot of dead ones on the railings at POR though, and a few made it into our room. I'm glad I knew about them before going but they were not a big deal at all.
My DD loved meeting the characters and ran up to each one without hesitation. She wanted to make sure they signed her book even though she didn't know what they were doing! Highlights were meeting Mary Poppins, Alice and Phineas & Ferb. It was difficult with her because she'd want to walk or be carried and only wanted me to carry her, not her dad. Also, we'd go into a gift shop to get out of the heat and she'd yell "Outside, outside!" Crazy girl. She did well on the flights and sleeping at the resort too.
I'm a little depressed that the trip is done and we can't go back until at least 2013! I am having withdrawal.
We just got back from our trip... a one week vacation turned into a 2 week nightmare! We did have some fun, but we had loads of problems... culminating in DM spending a week in the hospital... 4 days of which was in the ICU. Her health has hit a point that we now feel that this was a very last trip.. it will take an extreme change in her health to be able to take any more vacations. She has confusion at times that makes me scared to leave her alone, she actually got lost when we arrived at our resort. On our last day, instead of going to Epcot, I had to call 911 as she was in severe pain... the paramedics found that her heart was in A-FIB and rushed her to the hospital... this is a new condition for her and she had to be placed on blood thinners... if this had continued untreated she could have gone into full blown heart failure or developed a clot that could lead to a stroke. She says she felt like she was gonna die and I was afraid at the time she would.
I hope everyone elses trips are much better than ours turned out.
Hey L-Harper, we had a near dis-meet in the lobby at POP. I was sitting and waiting for my younger daughter to arrive on ME about 11:30 am on the 16th when you and your family walked by wearing the t-shirts you made. One of the guys was in the stroller. I would have said "HI!", but it looked like you were on a mission. I also wasn't completely sure it was you guys until I saw the pic. now in your profile. You've done so much for this thread, I just wanted to offer a!
Just popping in to say hi!!!
We got back at about 3:30pm on Sunday. We wanted to be able to relax once we got home before hitting reality again.
We had a fantastic time!!! AKV was awesome...as usual! We really like Bay Lake Tower, too. I didn't think the crowds were that bad. We didn't really wait for anything except for the time that DH's family arrived at AK right as we were coming off the safari and wanted to do the safari before we did anything else, so we got right back on. That wait was about 20 minutes.
Food was wonderful. Victoria & Albert's was, by far, the best dining experience I've ever had. It was so relaxing and the food was spectacular! We did end up cancelling Whispering Canyon Cafe because it looked like it was going to storm and we didn't want to get caught trying to get from WL to BLT.
We watched Wishes from TOTW twice. You really can't beat the view and not having to deal with hordes of people. I'd love to do it again.
We are trying to decide what dates we are going to go in 2012. We already have January booked and I know we want to go in Sept. I've never seen the holiday decorations, so I'm thinking we'll try to get there in Nov or Dec, too.
I'm having mega WDW withdrawals this week.
We're off to the airport in an hourIt's been lots of fun waiting for our trips together! I hope everyone going this last week has a blast! I'll check in when we get back

I've been in Virginia since the 23rd and have not been online at all. I hope everyone who is at Disney now is having a great time and are on the mend. Good grief! lots of illnesses and accidents at the last minute. So sorry to hear about all of these.
BorkBorkBork: Glad you're back and that you had a great time.:good vibes
Love the live reports...keep them coming. I'm loving being here getting to hold my new granddaughter, but I'm still thinking about my Sept. buddies and wishing you all the best. Again, L. Harper, thanks for doing such a great job facilitating this thread!![]()
Oh my Gosh! I'm so sorry this happened! I was wondering why we hadn't heard from you since you got back. Hope your mom is feeling better and that you are able to get back to a routine you both are comfortable with. My prayers are with you both!![]()
Also if you happen to be at BLT or the contemporary and you see Joe... give him a shout out. he's AWESOME!!!!!!

I just wanted to let you know that you can get your other haunted mansion picture. We ran into this same issue and long story short and talking to 3 different photopass cm's, you can call the photopass number and they can search for your picture and have it added to the card. I know it's easier to do from the parks, but it can still be done! We were missing our hearse photo and I was very upset, a wonderful CM Chris in the MK photo area, searched, then made a phone call, apparently DH was "washed out" in the photo due to the flash so they "deleted" the picture, aka didn't put it in their data base or on our card. Chris asked them to add the picture anyways and the following day it was on our card.DH and I are both fine with the picture, I can't believe they deleted it, and after paying $107 for tickets I want my darn photo "ghostly white" and all

Last minute change of plans, I am going to be canceling our Chef Mickey for tomorrow morning at 11:10 for 6 people. I am also going to post over on the oct cancellation thread. I will probably be cancelling in about an hour.
lemonsours - Have an amazing time!!
Oh and I met a DISer yesterday, from this thread!! I have to look in here later to see how to spell her screen name. She had rhinestones around her LGMH which made it catch the light while we stood in line for sum of all thrills![]()
