So happy for everyone that is leaving for vacay!! 21 DAYS!!! Woohoo!!

Lots still to do.....finish MK shirts for girls, finish pirate tops for MNSSHP for the whole family, finish my gifts for our group and waiting on all the hollister stuff to arrive that I bought online so I can finish packing.

We have never had a video camera on any of our previous trips and I'm sad we missed out on recording so many cute moments...but our new camera has a great video option so we can't wait to capture some amazing moments this time around

Still waiting to tell the teachers we are pulling the kids out for a week. I'll give them a week or two....

I think I'm going to send in my letter early next week. That way if the teacher wants to give her work ahead of time she would have plenty of time to gather it. Her teacher last year did that, so we will see....

5 days to go!!!

Today is a great Friday. Probably one of the greatest Fridays ever! Today is DH's last day of work for SIXTEEN {16} DAYS!!!!!!!

I started packing our toiletry bags last night and putting together packages of DS' pull ups and baby wipes and such. I was watching Big Bang Theory reruns as I went through everything and sorted into ziploc baggies when DH came upstairs and looked at me incredulously as he asked what I was doing!



Duh, packing for Disney. He just doesn't understand the obsessive need to list and pack.

I am going to start packing everything tonight! It is SO nice to have it all in ziploc bags...when you wake up you can just grab what you need, and get out the door to the magic!

13 PAGES?! Really ladies, I have only been awol a couple days and I come back to find the lights off and noone home. Thanks for leaving a forwarding address. So excited for everyone on their final preps and countdowns. Too many to comment on, but loving the daily drawings Shhh... and Happy Birthday belatedly.

L-Harper - my arrival date is the 14th not 16th - but then that really only matters to me.

Had a hick-up in my plans, this is supposed to be a work like crazy week making merchandise to sell when I get back, but....remember that heat-related nausea-whatever that I got last Sat? Well, it was more. By Monday I had the makings of a humongous boil on my neck. The infection spread all the way around and despite heavy antibiotics, I still have a grapefruit sized goiter. Staph infection gone wild. Eventually it will clear up, but I may have to have a facelift to pull my neck skin back in. (that's a joke, I would never have the money - I'll just be saggy).

A word on MNSSHP. Is it worth it? For us yes, because we arrive at 4 and stay until park closing. We wear costumes and love the parade (which we watch in frontierland, because it is spookier and the VILLIANS!!! We are adults and can do it all without meltdowns, if money is a consideration (and it is for most of us) I would say it is only worth the price if you can happily stay the whole time and plan in advance the things you want to get done. We also wait and see what the weather is doing before we buy our tickets and still buy in advance for discounted days.

The other day, I asked DM what am I gonna do once we get back and no longer have a countdown... she said start counting down to next years vacation!!!! Problem is... we aren't going back to Disney next year (we need an off year with a less expensive vacation)... so as soon as this years is over, I will start planning.... (always gotta be planning its what gets me through the year!!!)

On another note, yesterday a friend and co-worker decided to take me to the zoo with her, her boyfriend and their 2 kids.... halfway thru the day the bf got really sick... sick enough that they went to the hospital!!!! He had a lump in his throat that was closing off half of it, and was burning up. It wasn't strep throat or tonsils but some kind of very contagious virus!!!! Last night, my co-worker was feeling sick at work!!! As bad as I feel for them, I couldn't help thinking....

"OMG I better not catch this 1 week before I go to DISNEY!!!"​

Any suggestions on keeping from getting this???
