September 2011 - The Planning Has Started!!!

Wow....I was just reading about Southwest.....they've taken 80 planes out of the air! I hope they can get everything sorted out....It sounds like everyone is okay

We sail Sept. 1st. We considered all the weekends in September, but Labor Day was just too tempting! Yeah, everything I'm reading is showing that PP is not available. Maybe before September?? I'll let you know if I hear anything!

I checked out several different options for cruising in Sept. I actually really wanted to do Sept. 4th, but the catagory I wanted was already filled and I didn't want to pay a bunch extra. I'd rather be on the ship over Labor Day weekend than in the parks because of crowds, but oh well.

Does anyone know if they relocated Minnie's house to another part of MK while Toon town is under construction? I remember some talk about possibly moving Mickey and Minnie's houses, but I wasn't sure if it actually happened. Mikella LOVES Minnie's house!! Last year she made me go through it at least 6 times!! She was just "hangin' out" in there like she was Minnie's BFF!!

Unfortunately, everything I've heard indicated that Minnie & Mickey's houses were getting...um...bulldozed. I hope Mikella can bond with Minnie in other places!

Well if I would've known THAT, I would've purchased it and put it in our backyard! She's gonna be heartbroken, however I already kind of mentioned to her that it might not be there in Sept. unless it was relocated. She was REALLY worried about where Minnie was going to live. Does Disney NOT understand what those houses mean to young children?! LOL!

Wow, can you imagine having that in your backyard? You can tell her that Minnie's real house is at Disneyland, this was just her vacation house! Maybe Minnie can have a sleepover with Cinderella at the castle from now on when she's in Florida!

RIP Mickey and Minnie's houses......WDW will never be the same without you! (sigh!)
One of the dozen times Mikella dragged me through their houses on our 2010 trip:

And.....my absolute FAVORITE!! Mikella wandered into the garage and hopped up on that shelf and just sat there.....I was like, "What are you doing?!" She said, "Oh, just looking around and thinking." She sat there for several minutes in silence.

As an adult, I love their houses and couldn't imagine WDW without them. I haven't heard any concrete plans for relocating the houses, but I really hope they do. Seriously, how could Disney not realize their impact and how could Mickey and Minnie not have a "house" in WDW anymore?

Hey! We just got back from BCV on March 11th and I loved it so much I booked our next trip the very next day!! LOL! We'll be back at BCV Sept. 23-29 I made my ADR's on March 27th.... here they are.. I got everything I wanted! Thanks for adding me to the list. I really look forward to chatting with everyone for the next few months! April

I'm with you, what a waste of obvious intelligence. I got the email twice, and wasn't any more amused the first time than I was the second. I despise hackers so, so much, but my firewalls and antivirus are good, so I'm trying not to sweat it. Getting a Disney Destinations email has never been more disappointing!
