So happy everyone go their ADR's!
Wanted to pass along a tip I read...maybe even on this thread...that I think is really a good bit of info: If you've read reviews about slow service, or are in a hurry to leave a restaurant after a meal and don't want to have to wait around for your server to bring you the bill--ask them to bring you your bill when you're done ordering! I think it would work especially well for people on the dining plan or at a buffet. There is still motivation for your server to provide good service because you don't have to leave your tip til the end of your meal, and you don't have to wait after you're done, you can continue on with your evening!

I plan on trying this at a couple places-buffets especially and on the night we go to the Halloween Party! Wish I would've had this info two years ago at Mama Melrose...the service was slow but the food was good. And maybe I'll give it a try on another trip and see if this makes a difference!

What does everybody think?

We do that when we go out to eat around here and are heading to a movie or something afterwards. Works fine, never thought of using it at Disney but that is a great idea!

I plan on doing that Smile, we are only at the parks for four days this time, I don't have time to sit around waiting for them to bring me the check LOL!!!

Its so awesome to hear about ppl getting their ADRs!!!

I have been reading here and in my books, taking me to my happy place..... DH is one of the subs bombing Lybia (not trying to get political, its his JOB) and its making me nervous and sad......

SO!!! With that!!! Did you guys know Costco sells Mickey Chicken Nuggets?? Just a fun tidbit to share for your Disney Nights :D

OO and they have TaleSpin, ChipnDale rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, and Darkwing Duck series' for $9 a volume (which is about 9 episodes)

Your husband and family will be in my thoughts and prayers!

Thanks for the info about those DVDs, I will have to check it out!

We are on the QSDp but I did get my 2 adr's I wanted. We may do T-Rex also. I will need to call that one it since it will only give me a 4pm time.

What a great tip! Nothing worse than sitting around waiting for your check when they are rides to go on--I'm especially thinking about an early AM breakfast at Crystal Palace here! Thanks!

Hi Amy! So close:yay: I am glad to have someone close to discuss transportation. Are you flying or driving? We are flying but I have yet to decide where we are flying out of.:confused3

Hey ladies! My sister lives in Bettendorf (and I'm from Iowa originally) so I get down there about 6 times a year.

ADRs tomorrow!! I'm getting up at 4:45 central :scared1: and yikes, I hope I don't have the issues that some of you have been reporting with the website.

Booked my ADRs this morning! Even though I had not done it before, it was pretty simple to use the website. I got almost everything I wanted...Mama Melrose Fantasmic package didn't have anything available for 9/18. I ended up reserving the Fantasmic package for the Brown Derby. Wasn't planning on using two TS credits for it, but I think it'll be okay. We'll probably just pay out of pocket for the Safari Breakfast.

Here's what I booked:

Ohana (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (dinner)
Crystal Palace (dinner)
Biergarten
Cape May Seafood Buffet
Donald's Safari Breakfast
Brown Derby Fantasmic! package

:cool1: Only 179 more days to go! :)

Joining the group. Just booked ASM family suite (hopefully upgrading to AKV) 9/28-10/3. 5 of us DH, DS-6, DS-3 and my 12 yr old cousin. WHen can I make my adrs? Also is there any word on Extra magic hours?

:welcome: I added you to the first post! The park hours are out here: http://www.disneytravelagents.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_Sept.pdf

That has all of the information you will need for park hours, EMH, special events. You can log into disneyworld.com and load your reservation there and it will give you a message on the front page with your ADR date and also how many days you have left until your vacation. :)

Exciting Day here!!! I added a day onto our reservation (arriving Friday night instead of Saturday am) and made our ADRs. I got everything we wanted within 20-30 mins

9/17 - 6pm showing of La Nouba
9/18 Akershus (b), Teppan Edo (d)
9/19 Tusker House (b), Kona (d)
9/20 Sci-Fi Diner (l), Chef Mickeys (d)
9/21 Cape May Clambake (d)
9/22 Le Cellier (l), Mama Melrose/Fantasmic pkg (d)
9/23 Ohana (b), Ohana (d)
9/24 Crystal Palace (b), CRT (d)
9/25 1900 Park Fare (b)

I know it's a lot of table service meals but we'll get 8 of them on the meal plan so only 1/2 will be out of pocket. I'm glad this is out of the way and now we only have to wait the 180 days until we can leave!!

You have a lot of awesome places on that list. :thumbsup2

Thank you!!! I have been looking for one of these threads!

Not that those types of threads aren't fun, but I'm a newbie so I don't know- What is the point of that thread? Just to see where everyone is eating? I guess I'm just confused.

Yes, not sure if you saw this, but if you scroll down the first page, there are compiled lists of where everyone is eating when. So, for example, if you were eating at O'hana's on the 12th at 7pm, you could find out which other DISers are there at the same time. And if everyone was wearing their September lime-green-and-pink-mickey-head pins, then you may recognize each other!

Have you used the rewards calendars at Trex? I have the safari card and I know I can use that there for the discount or free app, but being able to use the reward coupon would be awesome :thumbsup2

Have you done the build a dino? Looking for price info :)

I have not been to T-rex yet however I did do a search here on the Dis and read several threads that stated you can use the rewards calendars at T-rex. I do not see why they would not accept them as both are Landry's owned :thumbsup2

I wish I had info about the Build a Dino. Maybe someone else can chime in :)

I think she hit 40" at 3.5 years old. I think there's a good chance your daughter will hit 40 by the time you go! Hoping for you! (Briar is a beautiful name, BTW.)

Thank you very much! I bet you can guess which is my favorite Disney princess! :rotfl:
