That's what I'm hoping for too! I don't mind doing the rides earlier in the evening and then trick or treating while she's asleep. That would actually be perfect. If only she'd cooperate lol. Or even if I could wear her in her wrap while she sleeps that's even better! Then I can have more flexibility with DS and what he wants to do.

I did MNSSHP with a 12 month old last year, and usually hes on a set bed time. Well he was AMAZING on the trip. We let him fall asleep whenever he was tired, instead of forcing him to nap when he would have at home (which we tried the first day and it was terrible! learned our lesson! haha) When it came to the halloween party he made it the whole night, we left at 1130 because me and DH were exhausted, on the bus ride he passed out and slept till 10:30 the next morning. We all enjoyed the party and cant wait to bring him back next year!

Hi All, would love to join you, we are going Sept. 24-Oct 1 and are staying at the Poly!! We will also be celebrating YDD's 4th birthday which is on the 1st.

Okay, I just had to run in and tell everyone:

I'M GOING TO DISNEYWORLD.........TODAY!!!!!!

DH texted me at work yesterday to see if I could take Monday off, so I requested it and got it, but he wouldn't tell me what for. I kept trying to ask him questions and he wouldn't budge. He just kept saying he was doing something for Valentine's Day.

So finally, last night, he handed me a folder. He spent the whole day yesterday booking a quick trip for the family to leave today! We are staying at Saratoga Springs (not my ideal, but for a quick visit, I'll live) and he even got us some ADRs: Les Chefs de France for lunch, Biergarten for dinner, Crystal Palace for lunch, and Kona Cafe for lunch.

I'm still in shock! I'm usually the one who does the planning, but he had everything all laid out on an itinerary and he surprised the crap out of me!

I don't think I'll be able to do any work today.

That's SO exciting! I have to say, I'm a little jealous. You're going to three of my favorite restaurants. :lovestruc Les Chefs is one of my absolute favorite places ever. Have a great time. You definitely deserve it.

Oh that's so good to hear! Hopefully she'll be nice and comfy in her stroller or carrier and just go with the flow.

Thanks, everyone!

This is the man who I have to force to consider going to Disney every year, so this is a huge deal.

I'm so looking forward to the french onion soup at Les Chefs. I have been craving it since September.

I'm hopefully going to be able to leave work at 3:30 today so we can get our butts on the road. Yay!

 What an awesome husband you have!!
Definitely a keeper!!

Tell Mickey hello from all of us September travelers!
Take pics of everything to share-- We're all in withdrawal.:rotfl:

Have a great trip-- we'll see you when you get back!

:wave2: We'll be at the Poly at the same time as you! Maybe we'll see you. :goodvibes

I saw that you were sick- are you feeling better??

Did you decide on MNSSHP?

I think with a little one you just sort of have to go with the flow of that day and how they are doing.
Could you wait to buy tix there once you see how that day is shaping up?
Maybe that's a possibility for you.

Hello to everyone else!!!!

I still don't have any idea really of what we're doing and where we're eating.

I DID however reserve our rental car yesterday. Full size- $295. ugh. I'll keep watching and hope for a better price. It's so dang high.

Anyone else rent a car?

MissLiz,
I hope you have a grand time. I am so jealous. I have to wait until September! UGH:sad2: But I will be thinking of you. Enjoy yourselves!!!!

Much better, thanks! I think we're going to go ahead and buy tickets ahead of time in case. If anything I can figure out what to do with them if we end up not going.

I'm so excited because Zulily has Boba baby carriers for 40% off today so of course I just HAD to buy one! Now my LO has a brand new carrier for Disney. I'll probably bring 3 with us to see what works best and we're most comfortable with while there. It would also be nice to be able to switch it up. :woohoo:

We avoid the EMH...we've done the first hour before and then have left to go to another park...that has worked for us in the past. :thumbsup2

Since we are talking ADRs....here is what I'm thinking...

Ohana (breakfast)-new one for us
Chef Mickey's (dinner)
Garden Grill (dinner)-also new
Hollywood and Vine (breakfast)-also new
Crystal Palace (lunch)
Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner)-new
1900 Park Fare (dinner)
Cinderella's Royal Table (breakfast)-new for us

Anyone else have ADR plans?:surfweb:

I really like GG and LTT. Went to Hollywood and Vine once, over 10 years ago. I hear it has gone downhill but really, how much can you screw up a breakfast buffet?

We're not planning on getting a ton of ADRs.

Cinderella's Royal Table (new) - hoping to get an 8 am ADR for our first MK day.

Whispering Canyon Cafe (new) - would like to get a lunch ADR and take the boat over from MK for a midday break.

Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex (new). Would really like to do T-Rex, as my girls like dinos, but am afraid it will be too loud for them? They enjoyed Rainforest Cafe.

Chefs de France (new). Will try to time a lunch ADR so we can hopefully see Remy!

WOW! What a wonderful Hubby you have! I am jealous too, I am lucky if DH remembers it is even Valentines day. Have a great time.

As I was reading over everyones ADR plans it suddenly occured to me I missed one that I was planning on doing Coral Reef............now I have to decide whether to add it and get rid of something else or not :confused3

I wonder how warm it will be this year in Sept? I have never been, but in Jan 2009 we were miserable and frigid... but then in May 2010 we were hot and sunburned. I'd take a happy medium, to be honest. It's been an overall cold year all around, though..... Or, well, at least here being that it was -18... and that's just the air temperature. Don't get me started on the wind chill. :sad2:

I'm still tossing around ADR ideas and also the thought of DDP or DDxP. Oh, that and flights. Have yet to book those, but I'm hoping for some price drops. MSP is flying around $300 per person which is probably the best I'll get, but.... :wizard: here's hoping.

Um....it is HOT and humid, but the lack of lines made it a-ok with us! :thumbsup2 I am one of those people who would rather be hot than cold though.

The only time I felt overwhelmingly hot was at AK-but I think that is because of the "green house" effect from all of the plants and trees. We just rode Kali to cool off ;)

Oh great thanks!!! I think Mickey at GG in his overalls is so cute! And I've been reading a trip report from someone who said they really liked it. And the food at LTT sounds good to me...my girls are all about the character meals, but I am looking forward to trying something new.

I am hoping for an early CRT too! I was playing around with it the other day....putting in my desired times on July dates and I was able to get everything I wanted! I'm hoping it will be that way for us too! :thumbsup2

It has always been HOT when I 've been there is Sept but the temp does drop in the evenings, I would put on a light sweater :cutie:

WOW!!!! :scared1::scared1: I love  your husband :thumbsup2

I have the DDP does anyone know off the top of their head how much it would be to upgrade to the Deluxe, or maybe I should just pay out of pocket if I want to do a few breakfast buffets???

I have been so worried about the heat and humidity in September, needing a sweater in the evening sound great :)

I know it is $33 to upgrade for an Adult, no idea about kids

We were there in May when it was in the high 90s. And in December when it was in the 20s (19 degrees one morning when we went to DHS!). So I'm hoping the rain stays away in September because I figure the temps can't be anywhere near as bad as we've experienced before!

a day???? It would be cheaper to pay out of pocket for a few extra meals!

Okay so I have a question for you guys- your opinions...

Going by last yrs schedule-
they had Wishes and MSEP on Sunday (added to that is EMH at night) and also on Thursday at MK. Those are the only two days in that week that show MSEP.

Also on Sunday and Thursday are the only showings of Fantasmic over at DHS.

Which park would you do which night? Which do you think would be better, crowd wise?
Sunday would be the day before Labor Day.

I was at first thinking MK for Sunday night, staying for the EMH and sleeping late on Labor day, but now I don't know.:confused3

ETA- we would only go into those parks at night, not for the whole day. And the only reason we'd go anywhere near DHS on a F! day is b/c the kids want to see it. Again. ugh. ;)
